UFC 262 takes place May 15 at Toyota Center in Houston and marks the second event to feature full capacity fan attendance. The event’s main card airs live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
On Tuesday, an unusual five-round co-main event was confirmed for the May fight card with Nate Diaz returning to face top contender Leon Edwards. Additionally, former interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson is set to face Beneil Dariush.
Oliveira vs. Chandler was booked for the lightweight title when UFC lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov officially relinquished the belt and ex-interim champ Dustin Poirier passed on a title shot, which made the surging Oliveira and Chandler the top choices.
