Promotional officials confirmed to MMA Fighting that Oumar “Reug Reug” Kane will now face Patrick Schmid in an MMA bout at ONE on TNT 1. Kane’s originally scheduled opponent Mehdi Barhi, along with Rade Opacic—Schmid’s scheduled opponent for a kickboxing bout—have been removed from the card due to health and safety protocols.
With the changes, the kickboxing bout between Chingiz Allazov and Enriko Kehl that was scheduled for the ONE on TNT 3 event on April 21 will now take place this Wednesday night on TNT.
Kane will look to make it a perfect 3-0 in his pro MMA career after stoppage wins over Sofiane Boukichou and Alain Ngalani. Schmid makes his MMA debut.
ONE on TNT 1 will be headlined by a flyweight title fight between Adriano Moraes and former, longtime UFC champ Demetrious Johnson. Eddie Alvarez will look to make it two straight victories as he meets Iuri Lapicus in the lightweight co-main event.
