Michael “Venom” Page | Esther Lin, MMA Fighting Michael “Venom” Page makes his return to action in a fight against Derek Anderson at the upcoming Bellator 258 card on May 7, which takes place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
Bellator officials confirmed the pairing to MMA Fighting on Thursday. ESPN initially reported the contest.
Page and Anderson were previously scheduled to clash back in 2017 but an injury to the British striker forced him off the card and the matchup hadn’t been rebooked until now.
After falling to reigning Bellator welterweight champion Douglas Lima by knockout in 2019, Page has bounced back with four consecutive wins including a unanimous decision over Ross Houston in his most recent fight.
He’ll look to make it five in a row while facing off with Anderson, who has also started to build momentum following his move to the welterweight division after previously competing at 155 pounds.
Anderson has picked up three wins in a row with his latest victory coming via head kick knockout over Killys Mota this past November.
Page vs. Anderson joins a main card at Bellator 258 that also includes a bantamweight title fight between Juan Archuleta and Sergio Pettis, Anthony “Rumble” Johnson taking on Yoel Romero in a Bellator Light Heavyweight World Grand Prix fight as well as Patchy Mix facing James Gallagher in a highly anticipated bantamweight showdown.
