Although Björnsson hasn’t yet made a follow-up statement about the million-dollar wager, he is still fully focused on his preparation for their bout expected to happen around March 2022. “The Mountain” recently took a day off from his strict diet and intense training that’s overhauled his physique to indulge in a cheat day consuming anything he wants to surge his leptin levels and boost his mindset.

Although the science isn’t there to support cheat meals reducing cravings for the calorie bombs often consumed during them, the potential improvement in training quality is a potential benefit. That’s valuable for Björnsson who has dropped over 100 pounds since retiring from strongman to become a full-time professional boxer.
Breakfast
The first meal of the day consisted of classic diner-style breakfast foods at Grái Kötturinn, a restaurant a short drive away from Björnsson’s gym.
After a nap and a few rounds of League of Legends, Björnsson headed out for his second meal of the day — Mexican cuisine.

- Rice
- Beans
- Veggies
- Flour tortilla
- Chips w/salsa
It’s nice. Like a healthy cheat.

Following sessions in the ice bath and sauna, which Bjornsson playfully calls “the hot and cold,” it was time for meal three.
Meal Three
Björnsson’s third indulgence of the day was a greasy sub paired from a shop called Hlöllabâtar. He paired it with fries and a milkshake.
- Sandwich
- Beef
- Bacon
- Ham
- Cheese
- Fried onion
Can’t do a cheat day without pizza.

The pizza appeared akin to a ‘meat lovers’ style pie with a white sauce for dipping. The cheat day came at the right time for Björnsson who admits he finds his training diet, where he eats the same meals at the same time every day, boring.
You have to balance your life. You can’t just be a f***ing maniac every single day.

Björnsson alludes to his cheat meals occurring once a week on Sundays. Throughout the video, Björnsson answered questions posed by his fans. One of those questions inquired about Björnsson’s potential boxing career after his bout against Hall. “The Mountain” expressed interest in continuing his career in the ring beyond the Hall fight and announced that he will step in the ring again before fighting the 2017 WSM.

Björnsson rounded out his cheat day with a pint of ice cream with candy pieces mixed in. After putting the pint down, he read allowed a question inquiring if he would ever return to strongman.
We’ll see who Björnsson steps in the ring with before Hall and if that will prep him further to fight “The Beast.” Hall has no intention of getting in the ring outside his training before fighting Björnsson. Two very different approaches, yet both men have made predictions of knocking out the other. A date and location for their bout are expected to be confirmed in the near future, with a tentative time in the first quarter for 2022.Never say never.
