On Nov. 28, 2021, the Big Man Pro Bodybuilding show was held in Alicante. Spain. For the second time since the 2021 Olympia, a competitor that normally competes in the 212 division jumped into the Men’s Open and won the contest. Former 212 Olympia Champion Shaun Clarida won the Legion Sports Fest in October of 2021.

The Men’s Open division of the Big Man Pro show was won by Angel Calderon, who clinched his first victory in that division. Check out the top 10 for the Men’s Open below:

Angel Calderon Calderon won the 212 contest at the Romania Muscle Fest Pro show, which gave him an Olympia qualification for that division. Thanks to his win in Alicante, he can choose which division he will enter at the 2022 Olympia in Las Vegas, Nevada. IFBB Pro League rules prevent Calderon from competing in both contests. As of this writing, there is no word on which he will enter.

Emir Omeragic was better here than he was at the Romania Muscle Fest Pro, which resulted in a fourth-place finish at that contest. His muscles appeared fuller in Alicante. The judges just felt that Calderon had better conditioning fit for the runner-up position. At 22 years old, the German competitor has a lot of potential with four more points on the Olympia Qualification Series, which can help him make it to the Olympia should he not win a pro show before then.

Dani Kaganovich came to Spain from Israel and looked very impressive. He was the 2017 Amateur Olympia champion, but his rise in the sport as a pro has been a process. This is his first top three placing. His greatest strength was his posing, which is what helped him move up to a podium spot.
