To claim the raw squat world record, Walcott will have to lockout more than 279.8 kilograms (616.9 pounds) — the current record held by April Mathis since October 2011, according to Open Powerlifting. That does not appear to be an issue for Walcott, who took to her TikTok page to share a video wherein she successfully hits an unofficial world record squat of 288.5 kilograms (636 pounds). She reposted the video to her Instagram page on Feb. 10, 2022. Check it out below:

Judging from the video, only a brief moment on the ascent appeared to give Walcott some difficulty. On the whole, if one did not know she had more weight than any female ever loaded on her back, one might think this was a routine top single during a typical training session. Reading Walcott’s caption in the post, the lift may have been just that:
I’m as ready as I’ll ever be! 635 [pounds] felt snug!!!

Walcott told BarBend that she intends to set new bench press, squat, and total raw world records at the 2022 Ghost Clash, meaning that she need only to repeat the lifts she hit this week in the gym. On Feb. 5, 2022, she shared a video on her social media channels that featured her pulling 14 pounds over her current deadlift world record. Here are the current raw world records in the Women’s superheavyweight division, per Open Powerlifting:
