Victoria Long Goes the Distance — 2022 Arnold Pro Strongwoman Results

On March 4-5, 2022, 10 of the top strongwomen on the planet converged on Columbus, OH, to compete for the second most coveted title in the sport behind the World’s Strongest Woman (WSW) contest — the 2022 Arnold Pro Strongwoman (APS). The two-time reigning champion Olga Liaschuck of Ukraine returned to defend her title. Three-time WSW champion Donna Moore, who won the 2022 APS in 2018 also returned with the goal of reclaiming the throne.


In the end, it was the consistent performance by Victoria Long, who won three of six events and finished as the runner-up in the other three who claimed the Arnold Pro Strongwoman crown.

The 2022 APS contest features six events — Wheelbarrow Carry, Viking Press, Max Deadlift, Bag Over Bar, Yoke Ladder, and Stone Over Bar.

2022 Arnold Pro Strongwoman Results
Below are the scores from each of the six events from the 2022 APS.


Wheelbarrow Carry
The Wheelbarrow Carry event tasked the athletes with carrying three wheelbarrows of ascending weight — 227 kilograms, 249 kilograms, and 272 kilograms — for 12 meters each. The faster the time, the higher the points, and it Long came out on top with a time of 41.44 seconds.

Only Long and Linzay were able to finish the course. Thompson exceeded the 40-meter mark for third-place points. The two returning champions, Moore and Liashchuk landed in the bottom half of the standings, finishing sixth and eighth, respectively.


Viking Press
The second event of day one was a display of dominance by Thompson. She was the only strongwoman to reach 20 reps and bested Long, who came in second, by six reps. Liashchuk and Moore improved upon their event one performances, landing in fourth and fifth, respectively.

Max Deadlift
The Max Deadlift event used Hummer tires and the event saw some history-altering pulls. Thompson took her second event-win of the competition after locking out a sensational 800 pounds.

Bag Over Bar
All 10 athletes attempted to toss the heaviest bag possible over a four-meter bar. Each round, all the athletes attempted the same weight. The successful strongwoman advanced to the next round until only one was left and it was Long who came out on top with a 57-pound toss.

Long continued her winning streak with the fastest time in the Yoke Ladder event, which consisted of carrying three yokes for six meters each. The 272-kilogram, 318-kilogram, and 363-kilogram yokes were carried a total of 18 meters down the course.

Stone Over Bar
The final event of the competition was a max stone over a 1.22-meter bar. Linzay went out with a bang as the lone athlete able to hit the heaviest stone of 353 pounds — 29 pounds more than Long, Thompson, Liashchuk, Peacock, Harjapaa, and Moore, who all hit 324 pounds.

Long’s incredibly consistent day two, which included multiple event wins was enough to jettison her to the top of the standings and claim her first Arnold Pro Strongwoman title.
