IFBB Pro League men’s open bodybuilder Iain Valliere revealed that his next competition is the 2022 Vancouver Pro, scheduled for July 17, 2022, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Valliere shared the news on the May 4, 2022, episode of Bro Chat | Real Bodybuilding Podcast, hosted by Fouad Abiad.
Valliere is a native of Ottawa, and he relocated to Florida in 2021. He told Abiad that the change had helped him throughout his preparation for this contest.
I’m at home and into my schedule every day; it feels good for sure. I’m getting into the swing of things with the prep faster.

Valliere was a little over 10 weeks out from the 2022 Vancouver Pro when the episode was filmed. He told Abiad that he weighed in the range of 282 to 285 pounds, which is a drop from his starting point of 302 pounds when he began his 16-week prep.
Last year, I started at 285. I think my legs have probably improved the most, like the quads and adductors, things like that.
Valliere indicated that he’s content with how much size he has added since the conclusion of the 2021 season, paying more attention to bringing up his lower body.
Valliere’s 2021 Season
The 2021 season was what many would consider a breakout year for Valliere. He won the Tampa Pro in his first contest of the year and upset favorite-to-win Steve Kuclo at the 2021 Texas Pro one week later. Valliere went on to place second at the 2021 Arnold Classic to Walker in September. Valliere finished the year on the Mr. Olympia stage, where he finished in 7th place overall. Mamdouh “Big Ramy” Elssbiay won his second straight title in that contest.

Valliere must win a contest or place in the top three of the 2022 Olympia Qualification System if he wants to compete at the 2022 Olympia, scheduled for Dec. 16-18, 2022, in Las Vegas, NV. The six men that placed ahead of him — Elssbiay, Brandon Curry, Hadi Choopan, Hunter Labrada, Walker, and William Bonac, are all already qualified for the 2022 Olympia. The roster of athletes competing in Vancouver won’t be released until the week before the contest. So far, Valliere is the only known athlete who plans to compete.
