My wife is 36 mother of 3 and has a flat belly. How ever after the three kids she has very loose skin and it dosen't make her belly look as good. Is there anything she can do other than a tummy tuck.

Jeeze! That's a tuff one to answer~
You mentioned that she has a flat tummy, but does she have her weight down?
Does she do crunches?

I just want to say that she may not be able to tighten up that loose skin if she gained alot of weight during her pregnancies.
With each pregnancy, your skin loses it's elasticity.. the ability to snap back after it's been stretched several times by the weight gain.

But, if she hasn't been doing crunches & she still needs to shed a few more pounds.. get her started.
Crunches might be all she needs to get rid of the jigglies & you could do them with her ;)

Weighted crunches are the best.

crunches will tone up the muscles, but it will not spot reduce... do some crunches and some cardio should help lose any extra fat that may keep the both of you from seeing that flat tummy she's after

Well I seem to have done quite well as a Mother of a few children in getting the tummy to go down. It was damn hard work, but I am getting nearer. I know what you mean though about loose skin. However, loose skin everywhere else is tightening up and slowly but surely the skin on the ab's seems to be shrinking. Just keep at it is all I can say and don't give up. Eventually, the skin will shrink. Its only when you get the bf very low nd get rid of most of the fat in the flab that is starts to tone up properly.

I do abs every other day. I do crunches on the swiss ball 3x30, reverse crunches with ankle weights 3x30 and also I do DB Side bends with 15kg Db's 3x30 each side, and Stiff legged deadlifts 3x12. At first my ab's hurt like crap and my lower back but eventually my core became quite strong. I do lots of cardio at the moment, so expect to start seeing the ab's soon. You have to do both really and eat well to get any decent results. My leg's are my problem, but I don't expect to see the bf in those start reducing until the last few months because it was the first place I put it on.

Very nice wotk Belle! My wife had the same problems after after having children. Welcome!!

Hi,

At one point I lost a bunch of weight. I dropped from 220 to 135. Then I started lifting and have climbed to the 160-170 region. Thing is, I had loose skin and stretch marks all over and they are gone now. I give credit to vitamin E which I took lots of.

or ya can get a tummy tuck but i know someone that got a tummy tuck and looks the same and she eats so much junk she looks just as fat.:drooling:

I would say try speed work for cardio and ab work like jack knifes, bicycles, etc to get that ab region the way you want it.

supposedly cocoa butter helps with stretch marks too.
body shop has some amazing stuff if you wanted to try it.
i dont know for sure but thats what ive heard

i know of people after loosing alot of weight putting PREPERATION H all over the area and wrapping inCLINGWRAP from glad all the way around then putting a belly belt tightly on overnight, do it for a week.... it is known to put elasticity(sp) back in the skin... i know 2 people that said it worked for them... NOT a total problem solved but the swear by it.... and my sister in law tried it and it worked for a few weeks but went back.... so dont flame me, just a thought to throw out there....

She may just need to drop a couple more pounds, tell her to stick with it, train abs every other day. Yohimbine HCL can help her target hard to reach problem spots, like hips, thighs, bum, stomach, sides. Also CLA is good at reducing gut fat 2 g's 3 times daily.

sensaria natural body care makes a awsome skin mask with red algea that is great at tightening and toning skin. it also reduces scar tissue. they also have a great line of cocoa butter, body butters.

heprinoid cream rubbed on the skin tightens up the skin. I use it a week out from comps and i know models use it under their eyes for the same effect. its called Lassinel and you can buy it over the counter in the uk but im not sure in the states. Its used for treating bruises and burns etc...it does help a little

Miderma also works great for stretch marks, as far as tightening up stomach area good diet, cardio 3-5x's a week, and me personally i do abs 5-6x's a week.

I have the same problem.

Ihave 4 children and have the same problem. I have been out of the gym for a few months now. I am trying to backinto the swing of things but it is hard. Anyway i found some creme on ebay called sri-vectin for stretch marks. They sell it in Macys and some other department stores for like $150.00. Ebay has it sometimes for half that price. I plan on purchasing some soon.
This may be something to look into.

The only thing that will help the skin to tighten back up is Vit C start taking it on a reg basis about 2000 mg/ day 1 in am 1 in pm
