2022 Vancouver Pro Results
Some familiar names stepped onto the stage over the weekend for their chance to shine but it was the Men’s Open division that garnered the most attention as we saw two of Canada’s best go at it for the title, Iain Valliere and Antoine Vaillant. Below you’ll see how the 2022 Vancouver Pro played out and who was victorious in their respective divisions.
Men’s Open

This hotly contested division came down to the final judging as Valliere and Vaillant went head-to-head but it was Valliere who ended up edging out Vaillant for the title. Valliere will now have a chance to prove himself at the 2022 Olympia and improve upon his performance from last year where he finished in seventh place. It was nice to see Vaillant put up a tough fight after going through some health issues related to his heart. At the end of the day it was Valliere’s upper body’s thickness and 3D look that led to his win.

Winner: Iain Valliere
Second Place: Antoine Vaillant
Third Place: Hossein Kalateh
Fourth Place: C.J Jonas Giatras
Fifth Place: Seth Engman
Sixth Place: Martin Hernandez
Seventh Place: Chris Buhr
Eighth Place: Afandonougbo Thierry
Ninth Place: Kook Kwang Moon

Classic Physique

The Classic Physique division saw Chen Kang of China win with his absolutely shredded physique and symmetrical muscle bellies. Kang will now have a chance to go against the best at the 2022 Olympia. In his last appearance at the 2019 Olympia, he finished 5th so it will be interesting to see if he can best that performance.

Winner: Chen Kang
Second Place: John Le
Third Place: Adam Beveridge
Fourth Place: Cody Amey
Fifth Place: Issac Baier
Sixth Place: Ethan Gohari
Seventh Place: Aaron Aramini
Eighth Place: David Anthony Tassin
Ninth Place: Kellen Wilson
Tenth Place: Cyril Gascon

Men’s Physique

Charjo Grant won the Men’s Physique in dominant fashion as he appeared with a wide but lean frame that the other athletes couldn’t compete with. Grant now has a chance to improve upon his showing at the 2021 Olympia where he finished 12th.

Winner: Charjo Grant
Second Place: Josh Bridgman
Third Place: Xezekiel Afanou
Fourth Place: Taylor Wilson
Fifth Place: Akbar Sarbaz Sarkhanlo
Sixth Place: Isaias Paez Martinez
Seventh Place: Shahin Zolfaghari
Eighth Place: Daniel Miguel Rabiela Tomas
Ninth Place: AJ Ellison
Tenth Place: Gurjinder Virk

Bikini

Susana Aramayo put on quite the show to win the title. This is perhaps the biggest win of career, giving her a chance to compete at the 2022 Olympia. In her last appearance back in 2020 she placed 16th so we know she will want to have a better showing this time around.

Winner: Susana Aramayo
Second Place: Shelby Pierce
Third Place: Laura Ziv
Fourth Place: Tessa Barresi
Fifth Place: Karen Wall
Sixth Place: Elizabeth Yisrael
Seventh Place: Maxine Somov
Eighth Place: Ayleen Santander
Ninth Place: Taryn Flanagan
Tenth Place: Catherine Daniel

Figure

Even though Valerie Ratelle hasn’t been competing for a long time, she has definitely turned some heads. After turning pro last year by winning the 2021 NPC Worldwide Amateur Olympia Orlando she went on to place 12th at the 2021 Toronto Pro. This is her biggest win yet and it seems like she has a bright future ahead so we’re excited to see her compete in December.

Winner: Valerie Ratelle
Second Place: Dalila Xochilt Alegria
Third Place: Brittany Offers
Fourth Place: Jennifer Reece
Fifth Place: Mandy Urner
Sixth Place: Mel Cech
Seventh Place: Kim Clark
Eighth Place: Spomenka Miller-Stanic

Fitness

This division only saw three athletes vie for a chance to win the title but it still came down to a neck-in-neck performance with Abby Bolton winning the tiebreaker with her awesome routine. This is Bolton’s most significant win up until now as her best pro finish came last year at the 2021 Toronto Pro Supershow where she placed second. She has some tough competition ahead of her at the 2022 Olympia but we know she’ll give it her all.

Winner: Abby Bolton
Second Place: Noemie Champagne-Cloutier
Third Place: Danielle DaCosta
