Five-time reigning Fittest Woman on Earth®, Tia-Clair Toomey, seeking to become the all-time winningest Individual CrossFit athlete, isn’t the only featured attraction at the 2022 NOBULL CrossFit Games. When the fittest athletes in the world converge on Madison, WI, on Aug. 3-7, 2022, 72-year-old Joke Dikhoff of the Netherlands will be amongst the Age Group CrossFitters. Competing in the Women 65+ division, Dikhoff will be the eldest athlete in the field for her third trip to the Games since 2014.
On July 26, 2022, the CrossFit Games Instagram page recognized the Masters fitness phenom by sharing a video Dikhoff posted of herself to her Instagram page, wherein she performed a legless rope climb. In that same post, Dikhoff performs barbell snatches, GHD sit-ups, bench pressing for reps, and an overhead dumbbell carry. Check it out below:
Note: scroll to the left once to see the bench press, twice to see the snatches, thrice to see the GHD sit-ups, and four times for the dumbbell carry.

Joke Dikhoff’s CrossFit Career
Dikhoff finished the 2022 CrossFit Open in 23rd place worldwide. She parlayed that into a 14th-place finish in the online Quarterfinals. She ranked sixth in the Age Group Semifinal, never ranking lower than 12th in any of the six workouts.
Dikhoff made her Games debut in 2014 with an eighth-place finish. She returned the following year and fell to 13th. It took her seven years to requalify for CrossFit’s grandest stage, but she will return in 2022 as the lone septuagenarian in the field.
Never say: “I’m too old…”
In the caption of her Instagram post, Dikhoff credits the “master plan,” presumably her training through the 2022 season and preparation for the 2022 Games, to her son, Marc. Notably, Marc Dikhoff does not have any recorded CrossFit competition history in his official CrossFit profile.
The Age Group competition is scheduled to kick off on Aug. 4, 2022, and crown the Fittest on Earth® on Aug. 7, 2022. We’ll see if Dikhoff’s training and consistency through the first three stages of the 2022 season will lead to her first podium finish at the Games in Madison.
