The 2022 NOBULL CrossFit Games in Madison, Wisconsin have come to a close — atop the podium stand the same winners as last year’s competition. Men’s overall winner Justin Medeiros became the third man in history to win back-t0-back Games (joining Rich Froning and Mat Fraser).
Australian athlete Tia-Clair Toomey earned her sixth consecutive Games title, becoming the winningest Individual competitor in the history of the CrossFit Games. However, the star of Day Five in the Individual divisions was Laura Horvath.
Stellar performances across all three of the day’s events catapulted Horvath into third place on the overall podium, behind Toomey and second-place finisher Mal O’Brien. Check out the full results from Day Five below:

Individual Event 11 Results — The Alpaca
The first event on the final day of competition in Madison was where Roman Khrennikov cemented his place as the second-Fittest Man on Earth®. In the rainy conditions that compelled the organizers to remove the rope climbs from the event for safety, Khrennikov crossed the finish line first and put enough distance between him and Ricky Garard with two events to go.
Horvath also built the momentum she needed with a huge win in the first event of the final day. She smoked the field by a 40-second margin in The Alpaca to score a win.

Individual Event 12 Results — Back Nine
Horvath went two-for-two on the final day, racking up another huge win in Event 12 by moving the heaviest yoke and heaviest deadlift ever programmed at the CrossFit Games. Jeffrey Adler, a master with heavy implements, also made quick work of the event.
A runner-up finish for Toomey in Back Nine had effectively locked her in as the overall winner, even with one event remaining. O’Brien was too far behind Toomey to contest the top overall spot, but too far ahead of the rest of the field that her silver-medal position could be threatened.

All Medeiros had to do to lock up his second consecutive Games title was finish ninth or better in the last event. That was almost assuredly in the cards, given how consistent Medeiros had been all competition week. He finished third overall to retain his Games title, despite not winning any of the 13 events at the 2022 Games. Adler picked up his second consecutive event win to finish in fifth place overall.
Campbell bagged her second event win on the weekend in her Games debut — a great showing, as she finished the Games in 16th position overall. Toomey finished 10th in the event and secured her place in CrossFit history.
