As the hype for the 2022 Mr. Olympia continues to build, competitors from every division are taking to social media to show off their physiques as they continue to train for the big show.
And it just so happens that on October 4, 2022, two of this year’s most high-profile competitors — Nick Walker and Hunter Labrada — gave fans a glimpse of their progress. Check them out below.
Hunter Labrada’s Physique Update
First up is Hunter Labrada, who hit a front double biceps pose next to his father Lee Labrada (winner of the 1985 Mr. Universe contest).
Hunter noted that the picture was taken right after his dad “put him through his mandatories,” which are the required poses bodybuilders have to hit for judges during the Olympia.

Hunter has said in the past that his father helps him plan out his posing routine during prep. If you know anything about Lee Labrada’s career, you’re well aware that he was arguably one of the best posers the bodybuilding stage has ever seen.
At the 2021 Mr. Olympia, Hunter Labrada came in fourth place, behind Hadi Choopan, Brandon Curry, and winner Mamdouh “Big Ramy” Elssbiay.
Nick Walker’s Physique Update
Walker’s up next, and at 10 weeks out, it appears The Mutant is continuing his reputation for unbelievable muscularity.

On September 9, 2022, Walker posted an update saying he tipped the scales at 294 pounds with visible abs. And, while he didn’t list his current weight on this post, he’s certainly not shrinking.
Walker still isn’t close to Big Ramy’s recent 337-pound physique update, but he’s easily among the biggest competitors in open bodybuilding.
In 2021, Walker came in fifth at the Mr. Olympia, as well as having bagged wins at that year’s New York Pro and Arnold Classic.
To crack the top three, Walker and Labrada will likely have to get through Choopan and Curry, who finished third and second, respectively, in 2021. Then, of course, there’s Ramy, who former Mr. Olympias Phil Heath, Jay Cutler, and Ronnie Coleman picked to win it all for the third year in a row.
We’ll see how all these competitors place when the Olympia weekend goes down in Las Vegas from December 16-18.
