Winner — Behrooz Tabani Abar Ghani
This is Ghani’s first professional victory. He earned the final automatic qualification for the 2022 Mr. Olympia contest, which is set to take place Dec. 16-18, 2022, in Las Vegas, NV. Ghani’s symmetry, shape, and definition were not to be denied. He was third in this contest in 2021 — his pro debut. He climbed the mountain and will move on to the biggest show in the sport as a result.
Ghani will join fellow Iranian Hadi Choopan, reigning two-time Mr. Olympia Mamdouh “Big Ramy” Elssbiay, 2019 Mr. Olympia Brandon Curry, and the rest of the competitors that have qualified for the 2022 Olympia contest.
Second Place — Brett Wilkin
This year, Wilkin had only competed in the 2022 Arnold Classic, where he finished sixth. Brandon Curry won that contest. Wilkin’s hope was an extended off-season would pay off at this show. He was much leaner and bigger than he was in Columbus, OH, in March of this year.
However, Ghani’s muscles appeared fuller, which may have been what swayed the judges vote. Wilkin will not be a part of the 2022 Olympia, but he can and likely will come back stronger in 2023.
Third Place — Enrico Hoffman
Hoffman was fourth in the Tsunami Nutrition Cup Pro in October, and this was his second contest of the year. He looked leaner at this show, which is why he scored a top-three finish. In this case, Ghani and Wilkin were simply too big and ripped for Hoffman, but he has a bright future. He can study these first two shows and build upon the placings for a bigger and better 2023 season.
Other Division Winners
The results of the other nine pro divisions are below. Each winner moves on to the Olympia, while second through fifth-place finishers earn Tier 3 points in the Olympia Qualification System. The scoring period for that system ends on Nov. 20, 2022, with the top three finishers in each division also moving on to the Olympia.
