Six-time CrossFit Games champion Tia-Clair Toomey and her husband and coach Shane Orr gave followers of their YouTube channel a tour of their completed home gym. On Dec. 29, 2022, they released a nearly 24-minute video showing every corner and piece of equipment they have in their gym, which is over 11,000 square feet.

The Home Gym
Being a sponsored athlete and personal friend of the owners of the premiere weightlifting and fitness supplier and manufacturer, Rogue Fitness, the home gym suits the needs of the six-time Fittest Woman on Earth®. It is outfitted with Rogue equipment, including a custom Monster Rig as the centerpiece. The rig took the Rogue team of engineers and designers 18 months to complete.
Toomey and Orr waited for most of the rig and squat racks to be delivered from the United States before assembling the gym. BarBend reached out, and according to Toomey, the gym took five days to build.
Rogue outfitted the gym’s competition plates in pounds and kilograms. Additionally, they are stamped with the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) logo to further support their competition use. Numerous Rogue barbells, including EZ bars and HEX bars, are also available. Centerstage, underneath the rig, are the competition barbells, including a customized “Toomey” bar Rogue gifted to her for Christmas.
There are two sets of stall bars — one on each side of the gym. Orr believes they will be helpful with Games programming — going back to the fundamentals of CrossFit and gymnastics, which the bars are a signature piece of. Shelves and storage for sandbags, dumbbells, medicine balls, and wall balls align on both sides of the gym.

Rogue built in a section on each side of the rig that includes “rock wall” grips — a unique feature that hasn’t been seen on any Rogue rig in production. Many machines are connected to the rig and numerous squat racks, including a Monster Rhino Squat machine, a reverse hyper machine, a cable crossover machine, a leg press, leg extension and curl machines, two GHDs, Echo bikes, Concept 2 BikeErgs, Ski Ergs and AirRunners.
Still, the home gym is not yet complete. Toomey stated they are working on the recovery area of the gym that will feature a float tank, ice bath, hot tub, and sauna. Rogue even made a custom cornhole set complete with a US flag to remind them of their extended time living in America.
The 2023 Season
Despite Toomey and Orr expecting their first child in May 2023 — their announcement confirmed Toomey would not compete in the 2023 CrossFit Season — the new home gym set-up suggests that Toomey still intends to keep her strength and fitness as much as possible during her pregnancy. So while a new Fittest Woman on Earth® will be crowned in 2023, the tools are in place for Toomey to return to competition in 2024 to reclaim the CrossFit Games throne.
