I was practicing my posing and I noticed veins on my lats where they attach to the armpit. I've never seen anything like this on myself before. It's the changes like this that I see happening that keep me going on the contest prep even when I'm tempted to cheat.
Yesterday my sister had her bridal shower at my parent's home. I stopped over at the end to see my sisters and some of my other relatives from far away that I don't get to see often. Well the usual junk food that they have at these kinds of parties was flowing freely. If it didn't have sugar or butter as one of the main ingredients it wasn't being served. Of course I was encouraged to eat and I politely declined. My parent's, sisters and brother are all coming to watch me compete, but none of my other relatives know what's going on with that. Someone says, "Azmodeus can't eat that". Then my aunt, who's about 5'4" and 230-240# says, "Why not?" So I start to explain to her that I'm competing in bodybuilding on April 5th and I'm getting my bodyfat as low as possible. Man, the look she gave me. They say a picture is worth a thousand words but sometimes an expression conveys even more than that. Utterly condemning is what it was. It said, "what a complete waste of time, why don't you do something useful with your life." Then she turned and walked away from me while I was still talking, trying to explain how I'm eating a clean diet and doing cardio. Now I don't really care what she thinks, but to me when it comes to family, I believe it's important to be supportive even if it's something you're not into or maybe don't even understand. Both my sisters run endurance races. One has done a half marathon and plans to do a full marathon in the future. That's certainly not my thing, but I listen to them talk about it and I go out and yell my fucking head off when they run by me on the side. That's just the way it should be in my opinion.
Oh yeah, and I was very tempted by those jelly beans that are made with real fruit.
