I have a stomach that is bigger then I like so I have decided to go to running up to several miles on the tread mill.

My question though is this......If I start doing ab work on the sitting forward weighted crunch machine will this tighten the stomach in the way that your arm tightens up when starting in again on bi's and tri's after a long lay off?

I dont mind the weight because im 285 heading towards this football season where last year I was 265. A lot of winter time eating and only apartment gym lifting, though I actually got stronger in some areas over the winter.

Now I am back at a member gym getting use of all the tools.

Though I dont mind the weight I'd like to look a little better. The running will get me there I am sure but I wonder if now is the time to blast the crunch machine?
