The bigger you get the bigger everyone else's-sons, Cousins, Guy I new in High School Get. If you Bench 300-everyone else benches 350. It just gets ridiculas, just because I lift does not mean I want to here the stories of your lifting days from 15 years ago.

LOL, I know a lot of guys who do this. I call it the "1-up syndrome." No matter what you accomplish, they've done it better.

So do you say "Damn, you've really let yourself go, then!" ? For me, it's always their relative that did whatever. I'm sure part of it is one-ups-manship, and part is just trying to relate to you for some reason.

I really hate this syndrome in a relationship. I had a girl once, and when I came home and I said I had a rough day at work, than she would reply her day had been rougher. If I said I had a headache, she would a migraine. She always wanted to overclass me at anything.

I guess for a lot of people this is very typical, although not all are like that, but many are though. It's best just to let it slip and don't react to it.

Do the reverse before people can do the "1-up." I get asked how much you lift I just give a really low weight, like squat I say, "oh, only about 135-185" It really gets them made beasue they think you've got that big by lifting light weights. It's a good mind F*ck!
