power boats?

anyone have one??or know of anyone with one..???i am thinking of purchasing a 19-22' open bow I/0 boat...i have a pretty good idea of what i want but what should i stay away from??it will be used to pull wakeboarders...so i need more low end then top end...will 130hp -150hp work or should i look higher around 200hp??i am lookin to stay under 5k ...any difference in a boat that has been run in fresh water compared to a boat that has been run in salt water?

I have a 35' cigerrette Cafe Racer. Salt water corrodes your engine. Buying a fresh water only is a plus, but I use mine in salt water but flush out engines afterwards everytime with fresh water. 200 hp outboard on a 22' open bow would give you all you need. Try to stick with Yamahah or Merc Cruiser, parts are readily available and easier to work on.

I have a 17 1/2 foot glastron with a 210hp I/O
They have a great haul design the thing will run in the 60's not bad for a V6 engine

We attached a tower to and and it works well for wakeboarding

its nothing like an Air Nautique but it gets the job done

what kinda hp mods can be done to motors to make them perform better??what kinda money are we talking to get these things winterized?? what if the stern drive goes bad...what kinda cash are we talkin to rebuilt/buy new??

Not gonna find a diesel in a high performance boat bro LOL. You know the rule speed = $$$$ just depends on how much ya wanna spend. Definatly more can be done with a I/O than a outboard more cubes to play with.
