~Testosterone Replacement Theropy~

I am going to begin Testosterone Replacement Therapy with an injectable. I was on andro gel for awhile, but discontinued about 5 months ago when my baby was born. It is easily transfered and myself and my wife thought it was best to dicontinue.

I just gor my test levels checked and they are 50ng/dl, and my doc finally is giving the thums up on IM treatment with testosterone, though he said I would only need a shot once a month. I feel that is totally too little too far apart.

I have not talked to him just yet to decide cource of action, but I plan to request at least 100mg-150mg weekly. I am not out of line in requseting this am I?

Do any of you who are on TRT or anybody else have a preferance for Depo-Testosterone® (testosterone cypionate) by Pharmacia Corporation or Delatestryl® (testosterone enanthate ) by BTG Pharmaceuticals ?

I also would like advise on how to get an anti-E like armidex. When I asked about it whe he prescibed the androgel he said that is not needed!

Also, ,I thought I may be able to get an oral in conjunction ot the Im depot's. Maybe Halo or anavar. [no asking for source information please] he is just my family physician, shoudl I ask too start TRT then get a referral to an endo doc?

Is it possible to get GH levels checked? I would liek ot get a script fot hgh as well! though that might be pushing it, lol.

Thanx in advance for any help! this is needed to improve the quality of my life!

I used the Delatestryl 200mg/ml in my last cycle-My Dr is very open minded and wrote the scripts. I beleive it is now made by Squibb. He at the time recommended 200mg wk- since the script was for 5 refills of 200mg/ml x 10 ml I got a nice 10,000 mg to use as needed! Results were excellent as everything is dosed correctly.

HRT can cover a wide array of doses and methods, like the gel you were on. Maybe WeirdAl will jump in and give you his perspective. His doc had him on 200mg/ every 2 weeks. His levels were up, down, all over the place. To maintain an even balance, IMO you have to administer more often. It depends on the half life of the ester, but say for cypionate, it is best to take it at least once a week.
The clinic I started HRT with orrigionally had me on 200mg/week. It did help, and was basically a trial run to see how I reacted to it. I've since moved to a higher dose, but you would notice a difference on that amt. if you have low natural levels to begin with.
I also believe that you didn't need any anti-e's for the amt. you were prescribed at first. Might have been a good idea to have some ancillaries for post cycle recover though, unless the doc was going to keep you on it all the time. But, if it wasn't enough to supress your natural levels (I'm not sure if it would or not) you wouldn't need them either.
There are a number of clinics and doctors that specialize in HRT, that might be of more help than a general MD. This is an evolving treatment, and it is being revised and changed pretty fast. A doc that specialises in it was the answer for me. Like any other medical treatment, if you don't feel you are happy with your current care, get a different opinion.
Good luck. Being one of those who suffered the slow death of low test levels, I hope you get straightened out soon.

I am on a form of hormone replacement therapy that I have not seen openly discussed on any of the boards. I recieve subcutaneous testosterone pellots that keep hormone levels steady for 3-4 months. This achieves the same results as if you were given one 200mg shot every 2 weeks. The doctor that I see is a leading authority on hormone replacement and is recognized world wide. I am also only 26 and had testosterone levels of 650 when checked. The therapy that I recieve can also be used in conjunction with weekly shots and/or orals. I currently combine my pellets with 300mg of upjhon cyponate/week with 10mg of anavar/day. The doc I use also wrote me a 5 month script for arimedex because when I was tested my estrogen levels were higher than normal (thank god for my neglect of post cycle therapy) I notice that I am able to retain less water and bloat on my new regimen and the pellets keep your levels at an even keel and avoids fluctuations. I feel great and I'm making better gains than I ever have when I used gear by itself. Reference me out with BIGJOSH he will verify my results.

well, he said ok to the once a week, but wants too start me off at 50mg ew. He went with the enanthate. Hopefully won't be too long before I get bumped up too 100mg ew. he said I could go up too 200mg ew if needed.
