woke up yesterday with my neck a little sore no biggie, today same thing went and worked out chest,tri's and delts. one hour later i can barely move. shooting pain in the left side of my neck. any help is very welcome, pleaseeeeee
It's probably a pinched nerve or muscle/ligament strain. I was doing rows with some heavy weight and about an hour after working out I got a terrible pain in my upper back/traps. It was a strained ligament or muscle.
Heat made it feel a bit better, but really it just takes rest. Take the percocet lightly if possible (just enough to dull the pain while doing very light excercise) and definitely rest your back from any heavy excercises. Just keep it to a light stretch. After about 4-5 days my neck/upper back was pretty much back to normal.
i pulled a muscle in my upper back two weeks ago and my neck still hurts and can't get full mobility yet. ice helps for a few hours...long enough for a ball game. i can't wait for this to go away though.
