First slin injection

I did my first slin injection today of 6iu and let me tell ya that it didn't go so well. I couldn't get the damn 29g needle to go into my sub-q fat in my stomach. I wasted 2 pins trying to get it in. It seemed dull or something. lol. I only got it in about 1/4" apparently and injected. It left a nice little bump there. I massaged it for a bit and it went away for the most part. I hope it all got absorbed.

Anyways, I took my creatine and post workout drink and didn't feel any different then normal. Maybe a little lethargic, but that's all. When did you guys start to see the effects of slin + creatine?

YOU PROBALLY WONT FEEL MUCH FROM 6IU'S ATLEAST I DIDNT. I STARTED SEEING GAINS AFTER ABOUT A WEEK AND A HALF, BUT I GOT UP TO AROUND 20 IU'S OR SO.

Cool...I think I might of over did it on the carbs so that could also be a reason why I felt nothing.

I want to know what going hypo feels like just in case it ever happens, but then again I'm sure I'll know when it's happening. lol.

I'll do 10iu post workout tommorrow.

What type of meals should be eaten before workout or injection? Will I screw it up if too many carbs are eaten before workout and slin shot?

as long as the carbs you eat before work out are out of your system by the time the slin hits, it will not affect at all. i.e. you just ate pre workout and you had like 50 g carbs well your body wont have time to break down all those carbs so basically you will be overkilling the carbs w/the drink and the carbs that you ate previously. This isnt a bad thing though...I dont feel the affects of slin till 8 iu but there is always the tired slow feeling...

The symptoms of insulin shock are easy to recognize.

Distress is relatively rapid, usually in a matter of minutes.

Hunger.

Sweating.

Cold, clammy feeling.

Paleness.

Trembling, anxiety.

Rapid heartbeat.

Feeling of weakness or faintness.

Irritability and change in mood or personality.

Loss of consciousness.

Treatment:

Feed the person a source of quickly absorbed sugar. If the person is conscious, table sugar, fruit juice, honey, a non-diet soft drink, or any other available sugar source will do. If the person is unconscious, do not try to force sugar or liquid down his throat. Honey, granulated sugar, or a special capsule (such as D-glucose) containing concentrated sugars, which some diabetics carry, can be carefully placed under the tongue where it is absorbed into the body. However, this may be difficult to do.

You should never message the slin injection site. It makes it absorb faster.

take your time with slin, you've never done this before, so don't fuck around! Do not jump from 6iu to 10iu on your second day, go slowly up by 1 or 2 iu at the most each day.

a slin pin should go right in, you may have had a bad pin.

what type of slin are you using??? i like humalog over r because its faster acting, and like harv said go up gradually, and keep some extra fast acting carbs on hand ie soda, gatorade incase u go hypo

All good advice. Slow down, the consequences of your mistakes may not be reversable. Bro take an hour today and reread everything you can get your hands on. It is my feeling that if you have questions your not ready. Respect and commonscence are key.

You guys are right. I should do 8iu post workout today.

I'm using Humulog - The faster acting version.

I've been reading up on slin for close to a year now, but I was just a little nervous I wasn't doing it right. Prior to doing the injection I read a site about administration and it mentioned one of the side effects could be a little bump like the one I had, but I was also concerned about it not absorbing because the pin was in so shallow. It went in deeper but it felt like it was going into my ab muscles so I pulled out a bit. BTW I'm using 29g 5/8" U-100 pins with a set needle.

I'll relax a bit, and try again today.

With the overall danger of Slin I just didn't want to screw up.

BTW - I already knew the answers to my question. lol. I just wanted some suggestions on a meal schedule pre-workout and post workout with time frames.

I.E.

1.5 hours Pre-workout
35-50g protein
20-30g Carbs (sugars,etc.)
<10g fat

Workout

.25 hours After Workout
Slin shot 8iu (humulog)

<.25 hours After 8iu Slin
70-80g Simple Carbs
40g Protein
< 1-2g Fat

1 hour after Slin
40g Protein
50-60g carbs (more complex)
Low fat

The meals I'm concerned with is Pre-workout and 1 hour after slin administration. BTW I just made up some numbers for the Pre-workout and 1 hour afterwards.

post slin inject numbers look good, bro......don't EVER underestimate the humalog though, I thought I had enough time to shower before my next meal after my post workout smoothie (40grams protein/60 grams carbs/5grams creatine&glutamine)....WRONG. Going hypo is not fun, panic sets in relatively quickly when you start sweating uncontrollably and your mind goes kinda numb
