Hey everyone,

This is a pretty basic question, but I have never used amps before and I am wondering how they work (I have some on the way)...In other words, how do you get the liquid into the needle to shoot it.

you need to break the top off. I've always found the easiest way to do this was take a papertowel and fold it a few times so you get some leverage on the amp and where you see little dot near the amp top where it connects to the bottom of the bottle. Face the little dot towards the ceiling , take the paper towel over the top part of the amp so you have a nice grip on it, then just pull downwards. I've always found it easier to use more of the thumb area near the palm of your hand to get a nice feeling for it so u dont break the top and get little glass pieces into the amp.

Yes, that helped...I'm surprised that they are glass, sounds like plastic would be easier to deal with.

Nothing worse than loosing an amp and picking glass out of your fingers.

ALSO DID YOU KNOW ONCE THE TOP IS SNAPPED OFF THAT YOU ARE TO TURN IT UPSIDE DOWN AS IF THE LIQUID WOULD DRIP OUT, BUT BECUASE OF HOW THE AMPS ARE MADE WITH THAT THINNER KNECK THAT THE JUICE DOES NOT LEAK OUT, SO YOU HOLD IT UPSIDE DOWN AND PUT UR PIN UP INTO THE AMP AND DRAW OUT, INSTEAD OF PUTTING THE PIN DOWN INTO THE AMP AND TRYING TO SUCK UP, SCARY THOUGHT HOLDING UR OPEN AMP UPSIDE DOWN BUT THATS HOW DR'S AND NURSES DO IT, IT CREATS A BUBBLE UPSIDE DOWN AND U JUST DRAW OUT VERY EASILY, NW WHO WANTS TO TRY IT THIS WAY
 
Honestly I never tryed it myself,lol, i think only a fool would do it this way,lol, however im told its the proper way, I got your big shot right here in my draws,lol.

I know that i always do that when I switch needles on a syringe, but I might be more scared with this!!
 
I've never used amps before, but I'd definitely invest in an amp opener versus trying to break the damned thing open......I'm a clumsy bastard as it is

Amazing -- I never knew this -- it's a spooky thought since if it didn't work there goes 10 bucks worth of juice but I probably will give this a try next time I'm using amps.
 
BTW -- I always score the things with a triangular file -- it works okay but an amp opener is probably a much better idea.
 
I use a glass scorer that I bought at Lowes. It works very well espesially for ICN's. Then I use a pen top and snap the sucker off. I bought one of those amp cutters and it didn't work well for larger amps.
