the conversion process - general questions

How are you guys transferring the powders to whatever weighing vessel you'll be using?

And what are you weighing the powder in - whatever container you'll be doing the conversion in?

What sort of container are you doing the conversion in? A 100ml (or some other size) vial with a small neck? There has to be something better.... The small neck vials are hard to get powder into (if you use a funnel, that's more potential loss), and hard to access with a 10ml syringe.

I'm sure there are other questions, but I'm basically looking for how you guys are minimizing loss, and ensuring you are dealing with the amount of powder you think you are.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking of doing. I also have the issue with my 100ml vials having narrow necks, so that the 10ml syringe doesn't fit down inside.

How do you get it from the bag (or whatever) into your weighing vessel?

The powders seem to remain on (stick to) the measuring spoons (nice stainless ones), leading to some loss. I could always wash them off into the container/funnel with solvent, I guess.

As for fitting the syringe inside, the other option is like your winny instructions, put the rubber stopper on and draw through the stopper. They don't seem to seal that well, though.

Oh, do you reuse your 100ml vials that you mix in? If so, how do you clean them?

Use a small pice of Sandwitch paper it will slide clean off no loss!

Same here only i use Acetone in the first wash then water and alkohol!
