_Gear--easy one, with some great suggestions and a great source this ones is no problem -everyother day injections is very do-able for me
_training--finally got this down--2 workouts a week hitting all body parts for an INTENSE heavy weight, low volume workout
_recovery--this is pretty easy too--however it took me along time to except that more is not always better--and I need to rest in order to grow--
_diet--THIS IS WHERE I FAIL AS A BODYBUILDER.I can stay focused for a few hrs a wk for training, and properly using gear--but heres the thing with the diet--I need to stay focused 24/7--and this I cannot do.Between having a full time job,5 kids, house and car bla bla bla.its just too much for me--i guess if i reall y wanted too i could--but alot of times on my way home I have to stop by at Mcdonalds and get a quick meal -or something like that--and also ,I forget to order my protein and I run out and so I don't always eat 300 grams of protein a day--or at times late at nite a roll of oreo's and a glass of milk is too irresitabletc.,etc.,etc.Like i said, its easy to get sotked up for a workout session--but this diet thing is tough--I,m not saying I,m out of shape--for a 50 yr old man most people are impressed--I,m 235-240--6" 18 1/2"arms and a 36'waist--but do I have a six pack? no way,not even close.
Anyone relate?

Diet, it is hard to eat for me in the summer. The heat and humidity kick my ass.

I honestly think it's a matter of habit. It might be really beneficial for you to do a program like body for life, where things are pretty structured, and you know exactly what to do. When you have a plan, it's a lot easier to follow. Another good thing about a program like BFL is that it's 12 weeks, and by the time you've done something for 12 weeks, you have formed a habit. Obviously hte working out isn't going to be the issue, it's the diet, like you said. You can learn to prepare stuff ahead of time, keep protein bars around when you are on the go, etc.

Take a look at the july newsletter, too, as I wrote an article on preparing food that might help!

Diet is the hardest.

Did Natural BB show 1.5 years ago. 6 months of dieting and cardio, Just takes 100% dedication. To this Day I still hate cardio!

Its really simple-break down your six meals,(60g protein,30g carbs and 10g fat-or whatever your personal diet may be)-and COMMIT-period-I've got 2 kids,8 month pregnant wife-2 jobs(1 to pay for the gear)-I'm 40 and I compete-easy-hell no but I'm commited the family knows and gets involved-I never leave the house w/o a few meals-I leave church in the middle-eat my tuna and peanuts,1 qt water and back in I go-make it a priority-when they all see that your serious they'll support your efforts-it ain't training-its a lifestyle-pretty soon you won't even notice-you'll be a phreak like the rest of us!!-Now put down the Big Mac and get to it bro!!!

I hear you--and thanks--I got a little inspiration from reading that rippedchef--I,m not giving up--my goal is to get a FREAKING SIX PACK.

Diet. It IS a matter of habit. Start good habits. For me, 90% of the work came in the 1st week just getting used to eating properly.

Get yourself a few gallons of skim milk and protein powder. That's the only way I'd even get to 300+ grams protein, much less the 400 I'm shooting for daily.

I'm a creature of habit. I can eat the same dam thing every day for a year, not prob. Training, my only outlet. Gear, gimme, gimme, gimme. I can't get enough sleep. Sucks. Not that I don't want to. Just got to much going on. Plus when I try to go to bed extra early, I look at the ceiling for a couple hours. Then the baby starts crying.

The only reason I'm getting ANY sleep right now is melatonin!
