does it have to be straight water or can you add crystal light, sugar free kool aid for it to still count toward the gallon plus per day?

If you're going to add koolaid or crystal light, I'd up the water intake a even a little bit more, but should still count. And I'd shoot for 2 gallons anyway, if I were you

I,m trying alot to consume 2 gals ed,especially cuase of all the gear i,m on--but man--I goo d for about 1 gal--even that--whats the difference in results you get from 1 gal to 2?

1 gal, along with other fluids in food and other beverages is plenty to keep ya hydrated. 2 gal will make things a bit easier on your kidneys (they can handle (excrete) about a gal every 4 hours), and you'll actually hold less water. You'll see the diff. in the morning (most do), when your body's water homeostatisi mechanisms (mostly hormones) have over shot the mark (like a thermostat that cools to 70? even when you've set it to 72?). Also, why should the body retain water when there is plenty (2 gal / day)?...

Hey al what you think about 3 gallons lol....we will be wishing for water on tomorrow and friday!

3 gallons wasn't a stretch, I figure I usually drink about 2.5 anyway! Today 2 is just about right, but I screwed up and grabbed the wrong water for my first gallon (spring instead of distilled - doh!)

whats the differenc b/t spring and dis.?

good question, what exactly is the point of drinking distilled water?

i bought a gallon the other day and couldn't tell a difference.

I believe it has to do with dissolved minerals... distilled water has nothing but pure H2O.
