Just Thinking...

I was just thinking about this:

In high school, I knew of several guys who used gear (to what extent I cannot be sure) but who couldn't have been religious with their diet, sleep and so forth- all of the essentials that are preached on this board and many others. These guys were avid users of cocaine and other miscellaneous drugs and who went out a minimum four nights a week and who rarely slept for more than six hours at a crack. Regardless of all of this, they were still shit brickhouses, small in no way shape or form. I do not know their lifting regimens either.

I suppose my question is this: is it merely a matter of doing juice and lifting, as opposed to diet, sleep, rest, etc.? My diet is great, I sleep 6-8 hours a night, drink only on occasion, and lift only 4 days a week, but I am not even close to some of these guys that I recall. I want to say that everything is necessary- diet, training, gear, and rest, but then I think back on those guys and think, "What the hell?"

LOL, I had friends like that too & I've seen them lately, they all look like crap. It might have had something to do with their age at the time & their bodies metabolism. Hmmmm?

Well, this was the case when they were Sophomores to about 22 years old (I haven't seen them since). I, myself, am only 24, so I don't know if simply a young age would account for that. From everything I have read on what you should do, it just boggles the mind to see people swim completely against that accepted current and still be f'ing huge.

You can not account for genetics(Some people grow looking at the weight some buffed ones never touched a weight ever)
JUST IMAGINE WHAT THESE PEOPLE WOULD HAVE LOOKED LIKE HAD THEY FOLLOWED THE CORRECT PROTOCALS!

I'd rather not imagine that- it would just get me more pissed, even more angry...and you know what, BLEED GREEN, you wouldn't like me...when I'm angry.

I know, I know, that was gay...LOL

When you're young, your body will accept all sorts of abuse and bounce back. In most cases, you can't help but be healthy and full of life. But don't doubt for one minute that everything you do to yourself won't come back to you as you age, especially if you don't take care of yourself.

I know a buddy at the gym who got a shitload bigger from 250mg/wk sust...........he also never does any anti e's (nor does he even know what they are despite the fact that I've explained their importance) and he never seems to get smaller

genetically gifted people piss me off, and of course I mean nothing negative to any of my MC bros

but damnit, I had to bust my ass to get over 200lbs!!!

For those of you who have done Coke, you probably know that it's fucking terrible for you. i'm not sure why you are asking this question, but all of the aspects you mentioned, diet, rest, exercise, supplements, gear are ALL important. Coke fucks up almost all of them. For example, my neighbor went from 210#'s jacked on his cycle, to a relapse into coke and went down to the high 160's. he looked like fucking crap. i cannot think of a worse "recreational" drug to do. he eventually got his shit straight, and is clean from the powder, and has gained some of his size back. just my .02 cents.

now good ole mary jane, that's another story, a LONG story. i'll post about my experiences some time when I get a chance.

Also, young kids eat like horses naturally so that helps. Add in that they probably abused dosages and duration (you know 84 week dbol cycles) and some big gains can sure happen.
