Hi,
I'm female, 5'0, 110. My goal is to loose body fat. I usually do advanced workout videos (cardio and low weight-high rep weight work), but planning on going to the gym once a week for heavy weight work.
Can you help me set up exercises that I should do at the gym? Also since I'm just starting with heavy weight work, how much weight should I use for each exersize? sets? reps?

Thanks
Katia

Hi,
I'm 21. I have som gym experiance, but not much. If you name an exersize I'll usually know what you're talking about. I mostly do workout videos so all the info I know came from them. However I've never done really heavy work.

I think bleed and T82 have given great advise. You don't have to duplicate a thread. If you want more oppinions that just ask in your first thread.

Yeah, 90% of it is your diet. Also, I would suggest going to the gym more than once a week to lift. I'd say like 3 times.

I don't know what you're capable of in terms of how much to lift. But be sure of two things, be sure you're challenging yourself with the weight, and be sure to not hurt yourself by using too much weight.

if you can do more than 15 reps of a single thing, you don't have enough weight on. I'd say shoot for 3 reps of each excersize 12,10,8 - adding weight each time.

Don't be discouraged from the muscle soreness you will experience. That's how you know it's working you out. Also don't be discouraged if you don't see immediate results. I ca't stress that enough. I'd say that's why most people quit woring out, they don't see results immediatley so they figure its not worth it.

Beleive me, after a few months you'll make a huge change!!! And you'll feel sooo much better, I PROMISE.

Just remember that diet is like 90%, and

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

I forgot to mention, be sure your mechanics are correct. For two reasons, so you don't hurt yourself and so you're sure it's actually working your muscles. Momentum can be a bitch, pardon my french.

Can you give me more specifics on the diet? Are there any foods I should completely avoid? I know sugar and white carbs are some of them. What about fruit? dairy? salad dressing?..etc?

Katia ask T82 she can help loads, I gave her all the info on stuff like that, she can help you have any specifics just ask and I will be glad to help!
