insulin...max dose?

hey all,

not new to the boards...just never post

i know enough about slin. the side effects, how to maintain blood glucose levels, ect.

i have never heard of an upper limit though. i've heard of people using 10units/ed.

has anyone gone higher? was it worth it. can you get better results past 10units/ed?

the rule of thumb as I learned was 1IU per 20lbs of body weight that is a safe does rule I am however running 12IU's total in two 6IU shots one preworkout and 6iu's post workout this is working great for me so far as for a upper does limit I have not heard of one yet

I've taken as much as 12 iu's twice daily...and I've read about people taking 10 iu's 3 times daily

DO YOUR RESEARCH, and search again if you're thinking about taking humalog. Fuck up with it once, and it could be the end of your life
 
Max dose? I don't know UpNComing said he was using 60iu/day about a year ago..maybe two and said that he didn't get better results than 30-40iu...Just depends some need more for gains others gain off less. I use 15iu on my off days and 30 (15 2x) on workout days and that is working.

i'll be safe. i'm a member of the medical community. i understand doses for medical reasons, just never knew of an upper limit for BBing. i also understand the difference between short and long acting. you are very right...fuck it up and death is shitty side effect!
 
I am sorry but slin gets a bad rap and unecessarily so. The only way you can go hypo while on slin is blatant irresponsibility, and total disregard for your own well being. There is only one thing you need to remember. KEEP CARBS ON HAND. Hypo isnt something that happens in the blink of the eye symptoms come on slowly and you have plenty of warning before you go into a hypoglycemic coma.

I have heard of people using up to 100 ius post workout. While i must say that is insane. I personally use 5ius in the morning and 10 ius post workout. The really big dog can go up to 40 ius with no problems as long as carbs are maintained and accounted for.
 
Most I've ever used was 2 shots of R at 20ius and 1 shot of Log (PW) at 10 ius in a day. Only did this 2x a week.
