Fitness, Figure, or Bodybuilding?

Ladies, what are your goals? Are you into fitness, figure, bodybuilding or do you train to just simply look good? My goal is to compete in figure in the near future. I also want to do some modeling and I know that competing is a good way to get your name out there.

just to look good and be healthy - to look like a fitness model.
I don't have the guts to get up on stage - to me that is frightening. :uhoh:

I am nervous to get on stage, but I am doing a figure show to see if I like it or hate it. I ahve always been into fitness, but want to take it to the next level. Depending on where you live (PA/NJ), I know some good trainers. Please feel free to PM me if you want names./ contacts

I am scared to get on stage too but the only way to overcome your fears is to just get out there and do it. I don't expect to win my first shows. They will be learning experiences for me. But, I do intend to learn from each show and better myself at each one until I am winning shows. I'm confident that I can do this.

I love the stage........ Modeling tho- I could not compete b/c I dont have the ambition to be that hard- I want to be more lean- but I enjoy modeling and you can not be that hard.... Petite we atill need to talk about that modeling (if this is the same one from SM)

Hey petite...

I'm interested in figure contests; though I've never competed. I would also like to do fitness, but I don't have enough $ to hire choreograghers and such. I think muscle is beautiful. I go for a hard cut look, not bodybuilder, and still feminine. There's nothing wrong with bodybuilding though. Goodluck!

I totally agree with you. I think feminine muscle on girls is sexy! That is why I'm going for figure. I will have a good amount of muscle and still look feminine.

I have done 3 BB competitions, but I think I have the fitness body. I just wished that I had the gynastic background to do those types of competitions. Modeling would be fun...I'm a little shy though.

Looking and feeling good is a plus!!

I am seriously thinking about my first figure comp in June. The thought of being judged up there scares me, but I want to challenge myself. I'm also studying to become a dietician and I think it would look good on my resume when I apply for my internship.
