Massachussetts seeks tougher AAS laws

Massachusetts seeks tougher AAS laws

FYI to our friends in Massachusetts:

Citing increased use among high schoolers, the Massachussetts Senate has approved a bill to upgrade anabolic steroids from Class E controlled substances to Class C substances. The effect on first-time personal users is to double the potential imprisonment term from six months to one year, and to make inapplicable a provision presuming probation. Here's what the State House News Service had to say about it:

DUMB-ASSES
Couldn't have said it better myself.

Radical is right. Maybe have them log on here? We'll educate them, lol. But seriously, Radical is right!

Unfortunatley it is often the uneducated who make many of our laws-they read some National Enquirer headline and assume it to be the truth!

The United States is approaching the whole drug trade the wrong way. It is approaching AS is a stupid way. AS is not crack I'm sorry but is it not even in the same category.

bump it up, thnx Rick as always we appreciat any insight as to what is going on in our world

Don't just blame Massachusetts. In Colorado, for example, a bizarre distinction makes “using” juice a misdemeanor but “possessing” it a felony! In Florida and Georgia, simple possession of any amount is a felony with up to five years imprisonment, and in Alabama it’s a felony with up to ten years in prison! In Louisiana, you can face imprisonment with hard labor for a first offense of mere personal use possession! Sure, these are maximum penalties, but DAMN! Other states are also really screwed up, too, particularly since many states define "anabolic steroids" in different ways from the Feds. For those "interested" in this topic, LEGAL MUSCLE provides a simple review of each and every state's steroid laws, and a convenient chart comparing personal use laws.

Also, anyone interested in checking out the congressional history of how AAS came to become controlled will find a lively chapter of LEGAL MUSCLE directly on point. I guarantee it will make you furious!!!
