DEPRESSION:
TOP HERB- St Johns Wort
WHAT IT DOES: Boosts levels of serotonin, a neurotransmitter associated with feelings of well-being.
HOW TO TAKE IT:
Take 300 mg of standardized extract contaning 3 % hypercin & 3% hyperfornin 3 times a day.

FATIGUE:
TOP HERB- Ginseng (Panax ginseng)
WHAT IT DOES: Strengthens your body to cope with fatigue or stress. Experts believe it balances the release of stress hormones and may enhance the production of "feel-good" brain chemicals called endorphins.
HOW TO TAKE: Take 1g of powered root, 1/2 teaspoon of a liquid extract, or 100 mg of a standardized extract 2 daily for up to 3 months.

FLU
TOP HERB- Elderberry (Sambucus migra)
WHAT IT DOES: protects your body against cold & flue and can reduce the severity of those illnesses if you treat them early. The berries contain antiviral proteins that prevent viruses from entering cells, and are rich in Vit C, which boots immune functions.
HOW TO TAKE: Try 1 teapsoon to 1 tablespoon of liquid extract 2 times a day in the cold & flue season. Take it 4 times a day if you get the flu.

INSOMNIA

HOW TO TAKE IT: To make a before- bed tea, pour 1 cup boiling water over 2 teaspoons of dried valerian root, cover, ans steep for 15 min. Strain and drink. (It's safe to drink up to 3 cups a day) Or take 1 teaspoo liquid extract or 1,000 mg of excapsulated herb before bed.
