Is it true the e-mail I got myostatin the real stuff? Not the juiced protein I hope!LOL anyone know anymore about it?

I heard rumors...I would not get to excited I researched it and sounds pretty dangerous to mess with IMO.

I have a guy that says that he has found a way to get it from the Ukraine. Not cheap, though, and I am looking into it as I don't know much about it's availability.

I would not hold to great of expectations about this most animals eventually keep growing and die.

The human body and organs and heart can only handle so much blood to pump.

I call it BS until I see what it does. If there was something like this I think there would be some pros already using it.

No, he wasn't saying he was going to get it for me. He just wanted to know more about it as he said that he found a way to procure it. He doesn't want to use it - he wants someone ELSE to use it first. lol The million dollar question is whether it blocks myostatin while USING the drug or if it stops myostatin forever. The latter would not be good.... no, not good at all. It would also suck if it didn't block myostatin in, say, one other area of the body that no one knew about. Say, the eyeball or kidneys or something fucked up like that.

I don't lend much credence to musclerags but there is an article in MD, I believe, that talks about a guy using it that put on 33 lbs of LBM in only 60 days or something retarded like that. Even if it isn't true, there is much more talk of this stuff lately. If anyone or anything can locate this stuff, it would be some crazy fool on an internet board. lol

ADD: Campeon - I would like to know what all you know about the availability of this stuff. You seem very 'matter of fact' with your statement, implying that you have more knowlege of the compound and/or it's availability than you have mentioned. Come clean, bro. hehe

Gentlemen,

Don't get too excited. <SNIP old explanation - WRONG!>

What' I'm waiting for is a retrovirus that will insert the DNA for myostatin inhibitor specifically in muscle cells. It would make you a muscle mutant. LOL

-Randy

a muscle mutant would be good and Campeon bro there are loads of myostatin inhibitors out there right now but more time is needed to research them and yes you can buy them if you have the proper ins, now who would buy them is the question cause I for one dont think I would touch it,lol, i dont think anyhow, lol

yes dangerous ground is right and so is the press man, but dr. sweeny is working on the antibody that stops the myostatin inhibitor from inhibiting stoping the process at the desiered hugeness, so i sincerly recommend you wait till the "antidote" is out in a since becuse it has been known to cause animals to grow out of control untill they die if the process is not stopped appropreatly! ........

yes one can obtain it from turkey, ukraine, or even yes, the good old us of a !

and good luck finding the dosage you need man.............. yipes

Although Im sure there are others with more knowledge than myself that may be inclined to participate, I would really hold off on this research until someone came up with a vaible delivery system for one. My girl and I both have biomed/ biochem degrees and from what Ive come across the only peer reviewed study on this type of gene therapy was just that......genetic mutation. If I recall correctly those studies were conducted on genetically engineered mice in which the myostatin gene had been "turned off". I consider myself very gung ho when it comes to BB pharmacology, this is something that meets with an abundance of hesitation on my part. Im excited to see where this leads.

uhh, ;)

dude there doing it on non- genetic mutation, applications at metamorphix where they are currently fucking around with all types of animals, trying to make a product that can be used in VITRO in humans. yes they allready have a product out IN VITRO on animals man, with an effective transport, its out there but yes more testing and shit needs to be done as you said and a there are delivery systems on this product but a more efficent one would be benificall.. and thats what metamorphix is working on i tried to by stock but its private so were all out of luck when they strike a who knows how many billion dollar deal with a american pharm a suit. co. when they have the drug developed for anti wasting anti hiv patients

dude do a serch with u.s. patents, yull see who that metamorphix has itself freekin controling the human myostatin reseach markets......... those basterds

Maybe Im just not understanding you, but in vitro means in test tubes! We are talking about introducing it into full grown adults. Stem cell research is also exploding at this time, but that is also in vitro and its applicablility to us as adults is unsubstantiated as of yet. Please dont take this the wrong way. In vitro studies dont have near the need for effective transport systems as would be requisite to introduce it into adults. Myostatin is controlled through genetic mechanisms first and foremost. I think this is another one of those things that is going to drive the mis/ uniformed crazy, but it will be some time before it takes any form that would have benefit to us. Think of it this way, which is more profitable, to treat AIDS/Wasting with sterroids GH and a plethora of cocktails, or giving a retrovirus once as a panacea of sorts......this is the way pharmaceutical giants work.

What a way to go!!!

LOL. That's how I'd like to go man - died from too much size. LOL

Guessing that the antidote is a selective protease that breaks down the inihibitor. I would imagine:

-The inhibitor is working outside the cell, where the myostatin is acting as a growth factor (acting on satellite cells). It binds it up there.

-Wonder waht kind of response the cells have when the myostatin is bound up - how fast do they adapt and make more?...

-The "antidote" simply breaks down the inibitor protein, leaving the myostatin to do its work.

-Just gotta find a way to get this stuff to the target tissues (muscle cells). I know that myostatin is also in adipose, but not sure how important it is there.

-Can't imagine that they'll try to make it orally available - too tough to get it past the gut.

-Randy

hell somebody send me some I am always willing to be a human lab-rat.

I got 9 lives and only used about 4.

I don't think its as complicated as needing an antidote to inhibit the inhibition of the inhibitor of myostatin... In the animal studies that I've seen, the antibody has to be injected every day because it gets degraded by the body once its bound to its antigen. As far as I know, no one has looked at people who have been training for a while, but levels of myostatin go down with resistance training in untrained folks (check it out: Roth, S. M., G. F. Martel, et al. (2003). "Myostatin gene expression is reduced in humans with heavy-resistance strength training: a brief communication." Exp Biol Med (Maywood) 228(6): 706-9…so just keep up the lifting until the antidote is all sorted out.
