1 week out from show,,,,who cuts protien and who doesnt

I am curious to know who cuts protien intake during the last week of prep and if you do by about how much do u cut ur protien intake?

I actualy cut mine in half the last week before a show but my wife likes to keep hers high, I guess cause she has no trouble consuming the ammount she needs, however i am so tired and drained the last week all i want to do is sleep and not eat anymore fucking chicken,steak, eggwhites, or shakes,lol

So I could use some help here and see what works for all of you who compete
 
I haven't stepped on a stage in a long time but I never cut it before the show. I know what you mean about being tired of eating. I would feel sick from the sight of egg whites in the last couple weeks. If I do compete again I will have to rethink my diet. I have picked up a lot of ideas from the board that didn't even occur to us 10 years ago.
 
I actually increase mine somewhat during the last week as I decrease my carbs. I do this to help combat muscle loss due to extremely calorie drop when dropping the carbs.

I think it's good idea to keep same basline calories , but adjust ratio's for if you drop carbs by 10% then increase protien by same 10% calories stays the same, but you still can deplete with less muscle lose

Who is the hell would give you advice like that??? ;)

It would take me 2 pages to explain how I change protein intake during the last week and then explain it. So, I will say that it USUALLY stays the same or bumped slightly during the carb deplete (if doing a carb deplete), and then depending on how you do your carb load or whether you shitload and when you start your shitload, is what would determine what you do with your protein levels. You can also use high protein on fridays after carb loading for a couple days and then cutting carb back on fridays so that you get a diuretic affect from the low carbs and high protein.

There are a ton of ways to do it and one is really not right vs. wrong it is more a matter of how and what you plan to do during the last week.

How is that for a grey answer? lol

What's it going to take to get you back in the fold? It's been a few years for me as well. I'm thinking maybe this Spring/Summer. That's if my Wife doesn't divorce me after I break the news to her.

i'm eating shit loads of protein, more than usual and im 1 week out

i'm eating 12 meals a day, about 30-60g protein each meal... making a total of around 450g daily intake.

today i started eating 12 eggwhites instead of 6 whole eggs... too bad eggwhites alone are gross :rolleyes:
 
should you stop taking whey, casien, or micellar casien proteins?

i don't see why these would be a problem... i suppose any lactose they have would be very miniscule, if any... :confused:
 
personaly I stick to chicken as close as u are and drop all shakes as well, and I just cant eat that much protien precontest starting at like 2-3 weeks out im beat man, even tired to eat,lol
