there 5 mg tabs for type 2 diabetes how effective will these work instead of insulin does any body know how good these will work instead of low dose insulin :arcade: :arcade:
In diabetics, these enhance the insulin response to a meal, but do not cause blood insulin elevation that is not postprandial (the insulin is only elevated when there's a need for it - blood nutrients are elevated). Nice drug.
From the package insert (See link above), I can't tell which of the data is from diabetics who have poor insulin responses (but functioning beta cells in the pancreas) and what was done on non-diabetic subjects. I dunno if if the drug would do diddly in someone witha normal pacrease. A supraphysiologic elevation of insulin (above what is needed for normal nutrient disposal) that you would want for growth purposes might not occur b/c you already have adequate insulin release (as feedback mechanisms would inhibit more insulin release).
This drug kind of reminds me of the situation where a guy with a normal HPTA axis (normal test. levels) would inject 100mg of test / week. The injected test and metabolites would simply feedback to inhibit his own test production and he'd have no higher test than if he didn't do the shot.
