Muscle tear-sprain or what?

Hey Bros

Need your help and advice- I was doing leg presses today-I had a good amount of weight 21 45 per side and on my 10 rep I felt a weird sensation in my right quad felt like little pops in my outer quad- I got the weight up and rushed to the bathroom- there was no bruising or major swelling-
But right now I cant put much weight on it and I can not bend it or straighted it-

When you tear a muscle does it bruise right away or in a day or two- I have seen pics of leveron and his tear and he had bruising-

If there is no bruising is it a strain or what? What can I do? I started to ice it immediatley when I got home and had the wife rub it alittle but the pain when she puts pressure on it is pretty bad.

Need advice from all experts
 
I cant say for sure but I know for a fact i tore my left hamstring and it didnt bruise until about 30 hours later, and it was horrible, looked like i got hit by a car from behind,

Lets hope it isnt anything serious bro, I am assuming you are going to see a dr correct? and stay off your feet man
 
If it hurts still in the muscle belly itself, it is most likely a strain. If it was deep in the quad the bruising could be deep w/in the muscle (not subq) and you wouldn't see bruising on the surface. Go with ice and anti-inflammatories for a couple days. Stretch it, too, but not TOO vigorously.

You strain your muscle. It usually starts to swell in several hours. the size depends on the grade of the strain. I would ice, compress the area with an elastic wrap and elevate several times a day for 3-4 days. After that, use heat several times a day. I would also do active rom after the heat tx.

THANKS FOR THE ADVICE- PRESSER I WENT TO THE ER TO GET IT CHECKED. THE DOC SAID THAT IT WASNT A FULL TEAR SINCE I COULD LIFT MY LEG UP WHEN I WAS LAYING ON MY BACK AND I COULD DO A PARTIAL LEG EXTENSION-
THEY PUT ME ON CRUTCHES AND GVE ME FLEXERALL-TYLENOL 3'S- IBRO 800MG AND VICADIN FOR THE PAIN.

HURT IT WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND TODAY I CAN BEAR WEIGTH ON IT AND THE PAIN HAS GONE WAY DOWN-

I ICED IT-AND COMPRESSED IT LIKE YOU GUYS RECOMMENDED AND IT SEEMS TO HELP- I AM GOINGTO STAY OF IT FOR ANOTHER WEEK JUST TO MAKE SURE I DONT HURT IT ANYMORE- I STILL CANT SQUAT DOWN AND IT HURTS OT CLIMB STAIRS-

HOW LONG WOULD YOU GUYS REFRAIN FROM TRAINING IT?

until the pain goes away all together, I only say this because I have reinjured myself countless times from going back early and costing me weeks when it could have just been a few more days , ya know, just my opinion big guy
