cell phones in the gym

I am curious-I don't work out at a candyass gym or anything...but I see several members taking calls on their cell phones during their workout. For some reason I am always tempted to go smash the thing but maybe I am having a tren moment or something...any comments?

I take my phone - but only answer if it is an important call - and if I'm in the middle of a set then who ever is calling can kiss my as$.
I basicly see it as if it is someone coming up to talk to me during my sets - there is no fu$%ing way that is going to happen! There to work out and then get the fuc$ out! It's not a social club...
Just my opp..

I won't name any names but I know someone who tends to pickup the phone in a middle of a workout.

Hate it when people are chatting on the phone in the gym. My opinion is that is MY TIME. Leave a dman message. I don't even take the phone in the gym. I leave it in the car. For those that do, Your phone ringing in the middle of my set is Damn Annoying. Sorry must have had a rage moment!

LEAVE YOUR PHONE IN YOUR LOCKER OR CAR!!!

If it is so important that you can't take time out to workout... then don't workout..... You are ruining others workouts.....

There is a guy at my gym who brings his...... the same guy smokes a butt after cardio...... anyway... everytime it rings I want to smash it over his head.....

I usually have mine in my bag but only answer if it's the wife or kids calling. They know when I'm there not to call unless it's important.

OK.... KR that is a nice gesture..... BUT.....

Could they not call the gym if it was an emergency... they know where you are anyway..... right???

The ones that really get me kinda bent is the ones that have ringer that sounds like some twinkletoe shit or something.....I gave this alot of thought this morning while working-

Probably the only valid reason to keep the c-phone handy during a workout would be for a BOOTY CALL......priorities man....

I leave the phone in the locker room. I don't care who's calling. I will have to start keeping my pager with me but no phone.

I can't stand the BITCh at the front desk, so she would either NOT take a message for me, or even worse it would give her a reason to have to speak to me!

I hate it when people bring their cell phones into the gyum period. We've got people leaving their phones in the lockers, then they get voicemails and the damn thing is beeping every minute! Whenever I see someone chatting it up in the weight room on their cell, I give them dirty looks and lose respect right away. It's not quite as bad as someone coming up to me to talk...the people at my gym know not to do this with me! There's nothing worse !

I have two daughters; 10 and 14, if I leave them at home and go to the gym then I am listening for my cell. Could be important.

I can't stand people talking on their phones while I'm trying to workout, but the best story was this guy who used to get into arguments with his girlfriend and start screaming into the phone. If I'm not mistaken they wound up kicking him out.
