I am 40yrs old as u already know from my last posting and have been cycling for the past 7 yrs. ( I started bodybuilding at 30yrs old)Most of my cycles were 12 to 20 wks never using more than 750 mg of test a week combined with d- ball or turning half way thru my cycle to dec (400mg wk) with wini 50 mg. every other day and clens. this is usually twice a yr. I usually compete at 192 lbs and am 5'7. I would realy like to take the next step to heavyweight but wonder if age is a factor now and maybe I should consider staying put or even changing what i use and how long i use it. I truly compete for me and me alone, i do not expect to turn pro, although I sure wish at times it was possible. So, Is there an age to stop, or a way to avoid not stopping :D

Stop? Hell no, I am also 40 and intend to continue this game until I physically can't!
How old is Ronnie Coleman this year...38 or 39?

I agree, I'm 38 in a similiar boat. I quit for other reasons, but I wish I could continue and know that I physicall could continue for MANY more years if my family circumstances were different.

You might have a tough time going any higher in the weight class though. It does seem like the old we get, the harder it is to make our bodies hold on to higher and higher muscular poundages. I went the route of raising test levels and adding GH and slin to an extreme. I got results, but the sides started to be not worth it. When I drop the levels, the growth slowed or stopped. The heaviest I ever got was 250. I always wanted to hit that 275 mark, but just couldn't bulk past 250, at least not without adding too much fat. What the hell, it's all about having fun anyway. I say just enjoy your training, enjoy your fitness and great physique and just accept what you get as far as weight class goes. I mean, unless you make a living at it, what's the difference anyway?

like the other guys said, i don't think there any rules here

i am no expert, but I would think reducing the dosages would be easier on the body as we get older (50+)
