just enough to make the tiny bubble in the tip... if you pass through a vein you might fill the tip even without aspirating and if in a vein like I was tonight even before I aspirated I had a blood bubble inside the needle... I just shoot the blood in the sink and stick in a new spot.. go figure I can shoot vet gear but I have a problem shooting my own blood back into my ass
The needle will be duller and blood could be at the top of or in the needle making it harder to see if you're in a vein when you aspirate the second time.
Little bubbles and then you stop, never really looked to see how far I pulled back. If your in a vein you know it. You'll pull back and blood will fill up like you were drawing the gear initially.
