Found a mistake at work today..oops!

Without getting into what I do at work, lets just say one of my responsibilities is budgeting/forecasting income......well today i found a mistake i made that's gonna hit the bottom line for $1,000,000!!!

It's gonna suck when I have to share this with the mgmt committee...

I think I found a way to fix it, but I won't know until I run some numbers tommorrow. :(
 
well you explain it just tell them they paid for a $1MM learning session for you. We all make mistakes, yours just had a few more zeros than most
 
Some of the responses are pretty funny, but I actually finished making adjustments here and there and recovered enough to make up for my mistake.

My boss and I went to our boss this afternoon and told him how we fixed it and he said just document what you did and we let the mgmt committee know about it. No big deal!!!

The fix was legitimate, there's always a little fluff built into the budget just in case.

No enron here, your money is safe with me. :)
 
With that million, you could build a gym and let all your MC brothers workout for free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:p
