timing fat intake

by the way, I'm bulking right now and am not overly concerned with when and how much, however, I do limit fat intake in the evenings

Hey Ray,

Taking in most of mine mid-day, and outside of 'slin windows. Its variable, though - as low as 30-40g (midday) to whatever is in 4 double hamburgers from McD's.

yeah the general idea would be to avoid using it while there is an opportunity of higher insulin levels being present in the body... so u'd keep it far away from carb meals , but then again , using flax , cla etc close to workout or post workout isnt a good thing either , body cant utilise it as there is a good chance it'll be burnt off as fuel... was reading about this by bryan haycock , so this got me thinking is all ..

I eat high protein and moderate fat for first 5 meals and maybe if im up late enough have a protein/flax shake before bed, and never take fats with pwo and ppwo only protein and carbs, i've been doing this for about 2 months and notice a big size difference and lose in BF, I try taking in 100-150g of fat a day

any specific reason in using flax before bed ? might slow down protein digestion thus working in our favor correct ? but then again , a little conflict with the talk of avoiding fat intake close to bed ...

if you not in your anabolic window in the evening then i would suggest not limiting your fat intake in the evening

your correct having protein/flax will slow down protein digestion, doing this in no way will it be stored as fat as long as no carbs ar taken in.

Mine is timed depending on my carb intake. I never take them together (exceot sometimes small quantities cannot be avoided), and for amounts my fat intake is higher (50g) on my low carb cays and lower (25-30g) on my high carb days.

So, you should not take carbs and fat together?
I've always been confused about how to groups them together and how NOT to group them together.

if u have carbs and fat together , the insulin spike from the carbs will not help u stay lean !!

right, plus I only want to give my body 1 source of fuel to burn from, when given both simultaeneously, something will inevitably be stored away!
