Bummer! (Any electricians out there?)

After gettin' all pumped to train again in my home gym / studio after seeing CCapel's set-up, I get a mystery power outage.

Last night, the electricity to the garage (where the gym is) and a couple of the lights in the kitchen and laundry area went out. Garage door is not gonna open either. The fridge (THANK GOD!), stove, etc. are working and lights just next to that area are workin'.

All the circuit breakers are good to go. (Flipped 'em all off and back on just to check.) At first I thought it could be a balast for the lights, but its more than just lights...

Anybody have any ideas?...

If you have already flipped the breakers off and back on again, then there is a couple possible options....

You could have a short or bad connection in the wiring somewhere in the house.... Because wiring is usually carried on from one device to another so that could be why you lost a chain of items....

The other could be at your panel..... You could have a bad connection or if the box is split up, maybe you lost a section....

you may have a failed breaker. try swapping the one on the bad circuit with another. For gods sakes pull the main before you do though. If unsure, have a liscensed ele. come in and check it out. Do you have a multimeter?

your breaker is probably bad. Your house is wire in parallel not series, so if one outlet or switch goes they dont all go.
change out the breaker Bro
