This is my first post ever. I thought my IGF-1 experience would help others although now it seems that IGF-1 is unavailable.
I’ve been checking different boards but I like Muscle Chemistry which is lucky to have knowledgeable members like proud13 and sweatmachine.
I bought Lab ****’s product and didn’t really expect it to work because it was premixed. Boy was I wrong. I wish that I had bought more at the time. It was great stuff.
My IGF-1 results.
1) I don’t keep very good records but I gained a little size but that was probably because of the oxandrolone.
2) My appetite wasn’t affected but I don’t eat very much anyway.
3) My pumps weren’t affected except for a one-time great bicep pump and my calf pumps were better than normal.
4) My jaw started growing on day 3 and I couldn’t eat anything solid. The dose was obviously too high for me.
5) I required more sleep. My naps were never under 2 hours. One nap lasted 3 hours 5 minutes!
6) My rib cage grew! After 40 years of training this was unexpected. I can breathe more deeply now.
7) Warning! Don’t inject IGF-1 subQ. I did (one time) and I think I’m going to end up with a scar. I’ll just tell people it was a shrapnel wound. LOL The outer scab fell off after 5 weeks. The inner scab is still there.
A little background. I started competing in olympic lifting and powerlifting in the 1960’s but I look better now than when I was a teenager.
That should give some of the readers hope that improvement can be made over a life time. When I started training people had a negative attitude towards people that lifted as if you were abnormal. People actually used to try to persuade me that I should quit lifting. I used to hear stories of high school coaches kicking people off their team if they caught them lifting weights if you can believe that.
I have always been a picky eater and I have a very small frame but I've been able to pack a lot of muscle on it. Small frames are resistant to muscle gains but I think that they're resistant to fat gains also.
After 2 weeks on IGF-1 I noticed that my rib cage was bigger. This is amazing because in the 1960’s and early 1970’s I spent a lot of time unsuccessfully trying to expand my rib cage.
In those days Iron Man founder Peary Rader and others like Bob Hoffman used to write quite often about both the health benefits and the appearance benefits of expanding your rib cage. They recommended light weight dumbbell pullovers or breathing squats and light weight dumbbell pullovers.
In fact Peary Rader claimed that he gained something like 100 lbs after he added breathing squats and pullovers to his program.
A breathing squat is where you take 3 big breaths in between each squat. The purpose of the 3 breaths is to make you breathe hard before you do the pullovers. Hoffman and Weider were the big names in the sport at that time and they were always hawking questionable products.
Peary Rader could have claimed that his weight gain was due to his magic protein powder (he didn’t sell any) and to his magic cable set (he only sold weights), but he was too honest for that. His advice was "Drink more milk."
Weider was based in New York and later moved to California in
the 1970’s. One of the corny ads for Weider protein bars read, “Muscle up and make out.”
Implied in the ad was that if you ate enough of his “protein” (candy) bars, you’d muscle up and get the girls. I ate my share of his bars but none of the girls seemed to notice. LOL Weider ads used to always feature his wife Betty’s photo on the beach with Arnold and young bikini-clad girls. Betty had a body that was better than the young girls but she was still being featured in the magazines into her 40’s and she looked too old for the ads although I’m sure there were some MILF readers who enjoyed seeing her. Thankfully today’s ads are more sophisticated.
Sorry for the digression down memory lane. Anyway, I spent a lot of time trying to expand my rib cage when I was young and it didn’t expand one bit. So you can imagine my surprise when I take IGF-1 and suddenly my rib cage starts growing (maybe the growth is from pressure from the malignant tumor I activated LOL).
The bigger rib cage not only makes my chest look bigger but now I’m getting obliques. Previously I had no obliques because my hips were wider than my rib cage. If I can widen my rib cage more, I think I’ll have decent obliques. I already have good abdominals.
Here is what I recommend for expanding your rib cage for anyone whether you're taking IGF-1 or not. Go to the sporting goods store and buy a Swiss ball for $15.
Lie your back on the ball and hold a light dumbbell against the top of your head. I started with 15lbs which works but it is a little light. Now I’m using 50lbs. Rock back and forth on the ball. I hold the dumbbell at my head. I don’t extend my arms out as I don’t think this is as effective. As you rock back and forth you can feel the pull on your rib cage. There are several variations. One variation is when you slide back, push your butt toward the floor. Another variation is when rocking back, suck you stomach in
as far as possible. If you experiment you’ll come up with your own techniques

Day 1
AM 50iu IGF-1 in right bicep
PM 30iu sub Q in low fat abdominal area
IGF-1 shot stung really bad for 20 minutes. Area of injection looks like it had been burned. An area the size of a pea turned white with a white ring around it. Looks bad. Necrosis?
30mg IP oxandrolone, Serostim 3 IU
Day 2
AM 50iu in right bicep. Some liquid leaked out. Appeared oily. 30 minutes later I noticed a mini peak on bicep. It must be localized swelling. Only have 2 30 unit syringes so I'm reusing them.
900A
The burning shot from yesterday looks like a light brown scab. In the center is a small dark brown circle about the size of a period using a felt tip pen.
100P
The skin circling the "scab" on my abs has protruded to form what looks like a circular blister. Too tired to go to the gym.
At night I was wakened several times by pain from upper right teeth. It wasn't toothache pain, it was like the teeth were trying to move.
45mg IP oxandrolone, Serostim 3 IU
Day 3
AM 30iu in left bicep
The "scab" on my abs looks about the same.
900A My lower right jaw is causing me discomfort. I think I'll skip my PM shot.
1000A My upper right teeth hurt. It only lasted 5 minutes. It feels almost normal now.
I reread the posts and realized that I should be taking 15-20iu each shot instead of 50iu.
1100A Right lower jaw is hurting. Lasted 5-10 minutes.
1130A Right lower jaw is hurting again but pain moved closer to front of mouth.
1135A Upper right jaw is hurting again.
Upper right teeth bother me from time to time. Holy acromegaly Batman, I'm going to look like Richard "Jaws" Kiel.
1150A lower right jaw is hurting again, towards the center of mouth
1240A Upper back right jaw is hurting again
I'm going to not take anything tomorrow.
130P I'm chewing a peanut butter sandwich and my teeth feel loose. Loose isn't exactly the right word, but I'm very
aware of my teeth while I eat the soft peanut butter sandwich.
230P My upper right jaw is bothering me again.
510P My upper right jaw is bothering me again in a different spot
615P lower right jaw is hurting
655P lower right jaw is hurting in a different spot
Day 4
No IGF-1or hGH today.
I feel like a new molar is coming in behind the one that's there now. I can't chew anything. I chewed tuna with my front teeth which is a slow process. I tried eating yogurt and bit on a raspberry seed and it hurt.
Day 5
No IGF-1 today. 3IU Serostim 45mg IP oxandrolone
I can chew soft food only.
I had probably the best bicep pump in my life.
Why only biceps, I don't know.
It was a 4 week cycle. I wanted to go off for 3-4 weeks and then go back on but now I can’t locate any IGF-1.
Cycle
Serostim 3IU daily.
500mg metformin for increased insulin sensitivity
I used 3 x 15mg IP oxandrolone initially. These seemed underdosed and I eventually went up to 135mg daily.
I may be wrong about the underdosing because IP's winnie, arimidex, and cialis are killer.
I can’t deal with the sides from T, deca, EQ, so all that I’m willing to take is oxandrolone, primobolin, or Winny tabs. I’ll get another blood test soon. The previous tests came out fine.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. I wanted to give something back to the board in return for the information that
