does nolva compete for receptors with test also?

someone told me I should drop nolva and only use it for pct. I am currently running both that and arimidex daily - but they said I only need arimidex and the nolva could be hindering some gains? I did not think this was correct but have no impirical data. any one know anything definitive?

competeing isnt the correct word. I belive estrogens will bond to the androgen receptor and vice versa, but its bond is so weak it wouldnt be competeing for it. I don't feel it will hinder your gains, more importanaly is knowing your body and what you need to prevent gyno, what good is a extra 2lbs of body weight if it all ends up as man tits.

The only gains hindered by nolvadex are what would deposited into your moon face, your fat hips and other female fatty areas. People are so stupid sometimes. I hear people that don't want to use nolva b/c they won't get as big but that's just stupid.

Look at someone bloated and then at someone who is smaller but more defined. Who would you like to look like? If you have a choice between nolvadex or arimadex use the later of the two b/c nolva lessens IGF-1 and Arimadex actually increases it while not allowing the aromatase enzyme to convert the test into estrogen in the first place (stopping it before it happens and not having estrogen at all).

The only downfall is perhaps how nolvadex allows the body to keep the estrogen which helps lower cholesterol levels and the arimadex doesn't but it's a cycle so you're cholesterol levels will return to normal once off.
