First off, I would just like to say this site kicks ass! There is a shizitload of information on here.
I stumbled across this site while doing some research on supplements.
So here goes my first post.
I’m 37 5'09" 185 LBS - between 11 & 14% bf.
After taking a 1-year hiatus form the gym (For two herniated discs) I am now attempting a comeback.
Any of you who have taken off a long period share my pain of how weak you become.
Anyway, today marked the beginning of my 3rd week back in the gym. So far, I've lost 5 pounds and seem more vascular, but I'm very frustrated & impatient when it comes to getting my strength back.
My question is actually a three part, the first being:
1. Should I shred down to build on a solid foundation, or should I just watch my diet, do the cardio & keep on lifting.
2. Are there any proven “Natural” supplements that will help me get there quicker? If so, what should I take? (I do not have access to any gear; I’m talking about over the counter supplements.)
3. Should I wait until I can no longer make further gains naturally before taking anything?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
NC
