worst diet disaster

just curious whats the worst food you cheat with when you are competing, and how close were you to your show. did you recover? did you totally gorge yourself? im fucking starving, the worst ive done yet was reg pb, big spoonful, im out of natty. eleven more days to go.
 
lets see, i drank vodka 3 weeks out, and i thought that was pretty lame on my part, but most i cheat with is peanutbutter (natural) and it isnt the peanutbutter itself i feel guilty about but sometimes i would have myself say 2 extra spoonsfulls then I should have had at about 1-2 weeks out, and it made me think i was gona be off my best but it didnt, i always came in on point for the most part,

its getting to ya isnt it,lol
 
my pre-contest dieting allows me to have one cheat day a week, right up until the show:) i don't worry about cheating, i always have something to look forward too at the end of the week:)
 
cant beat that! a cheat day all the way up to show, i see alot of guys and gals now doing this, what I would realy like to try ( if i have the balls) is 1 week out eat like the fucking shows over like Arnold use to do, pizza burgers the whoe shabang but still manipulate my water that last week,

but im to much of a Pussy to try it,lmao
 
how much natty pb is too much? i probably eat a jar a week. might shut it down sat, 1 week out, for calorie and weight issues, im gonna be real close to making weight. whats the word on sugar free jello the last week? also could someone break down my last week training, i planned on legs on sunday but whats the best way?

I would do it Friday if possible the week before the show. That is what works for me. You should be practicing your posing every day - it will help you get harder. Upper body workouts should not be long and focus on higher reps and strict form. The jello is good- I would cut the jello out when you start your sodium depletion since it contains sodium (you still need some sodium but you really have monitor it so you may be able to have some still). If your gym has a steam sauna utilize it. I keep water levels to 1 gal a day up until you start cutting water intake. I use distilled water( I know some people say it does not make a difference but to me it does--) If you plan on using a diuretic, I hoping you did a dry eun earlier in your prep to see how you would react to it. Also if you have not had someone do a dry run to help you put on your color, you should probably do that as well. Sorry, just thinking out loud here, plus it helps me remember these things as well... Good luck... And yes its hard at this point... just wait till a few days before, you will be so dog assed tired....:) As far as maing the weight- that is the hardest thinking you are going to make it and you don't. but you will be surprised how much water you can lose in a few days. It's a lot, and I made my class with 2 lbs to spare. I was paranoid the entire day because I knew I was very very close.... MMX2

I am doing that this time and I can tell you that its the weirdest thing. I am carb sensitive and the carb up did not work for me at all- I came out smooth as hell. After the show in evaluating what to change, we decided to see what a piece of pizza would do .
I ate a piece, and the next day, there was all this vascularity and definition that I had not seen at the show. Weirdest shit but it works....

it's a simple concept, keep your protein intake high (2gms per lb of lean body mass), EFA's moderately high and drop the carbs (around 20gms post workout) you WILL NOT go into ketosis. in order to do this you have to keep your fat intake much higher than your protein intake.

what happens is called glycogenesis (sp?) where your body converts excess protein into glycogen when needed. it gets me shredded everytime.

i also don't do a traditional "carb load" before a contest. i "shit" load. eat anything and everything i can get my hands on, just no water after 3pm on friday:( i get to suck on an ice cube or two...

it allows me to come in hard and diced;)
