ill be training legs tomorrow(sun), but how should i train the rest of the week, ill be depleting sun-wed. you would think i have competed before, this iws my fourth show, but i have been reading too much now, and have read a hundred diff plans. can someone help to refocus me with a solid plan. this is very stressful. im too hungry for this shit.

I always do light weight and low intensity just to gt the pump going. Don't want to go heavy because when posing will take a lot out of you and you don't anna be sore. Good luck!

Bro ur on the money with ur plan, same thing as always, deplete glycogen from muscle with high reps light weight, last work out on wed tops, keep off feet as much as possioble and elevated when feasable, No more holding ur poses past tuesday/wed in my opinion, high water now thru wed, thursday cut in half, friday sip, however i read ur depleting water thursday at 8p someplace, ur choice, but if you want to be able to pump up as you know you need to sip water atleast if not drink what you like most of friday and sip after 8pm friday night, carb up wed night thru the show, no matter what you read im sure your sticking to the basic plan which holds true for most precontest, so just like they tell me when im in ur shoes, "stop second guessing urself" lmao, last time I seen ya you looked great and im sure you will again big man

my legs get hit the tuesday before a show (saturday show) and THAT'S it, except cardio wednesday. i do high reps (very high reps) and use VERY low weights. you don't want blood in your quads the day of the show, bye bye cuts......

if what you are doing is working, DON'T fix it!!!!!! my brain goes haywire the last couple of weeks, i start doubting things, questioning things, but i NEVER change what works.....

too many cooks ruin the soup;)

stick with what has worked in the past.....off-season is the time to experiment. if i do ANY experimenting, it's about 3 or 4 weeks out when im almost in contest shape.....as for any other type of "experimenting", as long as im fairly lean, i will try it, but never before a show....

good luck to you:)

i might change my plans and starting carbing on wed, so ill be depleting sun - tues, only reason being i looked much fuller this morning than i did yesterday and i ate carbs thurs to sat about 120 grams, by way of white rice and oatmeal. so knowing that should i do two total body workouts mon-tues and thats it for the week? and is that enough carbs? my protein is about 240. ill be doing 45min cardio up to sat.

ur doing cardio right up to the show? I wouldnt but if it works for ya as u have done 4 shows then you know better then me what works for ya, but i wouldnt touch cardio past wed either, al rest for me from there on out

yeah im just gonna ride the bike at a slow to moderate pace for about 45 mins just to stay tight a sweat a little, anyway i need to drop some weight. i have also been reading about glycogen infusion training on wed - thurs. have you ever heard of this?

bump for info on glycogen infusion training, or this whole last week process.

high reps, low weights, full body workouts monday, tuesday, wednesday....after that.....no training (or cardio) till the show.

three days of full body workouts with high reps is more than enough to deplete your glycogen stores...

Db, what Presser says is true- this is pretty standard prep up to the contest. If things are working for you, then no need to be changing. There are always a millions ways people like to do things for contest prep- always some new twist but at this point you don't want to be changing things. I know that when you get closer the date, you start second guessing yourself- trust me I di it too, but just keep doing what you are doing and you will be fine. Best of luck...
