Leg days - Hurling

Does anyone know how to combat hurling on leg days. It happens about every 4-5 leg workouts. Either I will hurl or I'm on the verge of hurling. This usually results in a shitty workout. I usually drink about 64 oz of water when working out, but when I consume this much water on leg days it seems to make me more sick than what the benefits are. Should I cut back on the water on leg days; would tums work; any suggestions?

i train legs on an empty stomach. this cuts back on the "hurling" effect. all i have is a whey shake about 30 minutes prior to training.....

i have puked training arms before:eek:

Yes, try baking soda. It works! I have not hurled since Cyphon recommended it to me. You don't wanna be throwing up every week from leg days it's detrimental to your health. I can't train leg days on a complete empty stomach or else I won't have enough energy to make it through my workout.

I must have a strong stomach....never hurled...come close tho....especially on 20 Rep Squat days....never actually upchucked tho....

i always makesure my meals are at least two hours before my leg workout. i try not to drink to much water during my workout , enough to not cramp and to keep me hydrated but i dont want to much in my stomach cuz i;ll puke.

The kind of hurling most of you describe is caused by going hypoglycemic. There is such thing as exercise-induced hypoglycemia, and I've had it a number of times myself until I figured out what it was. The only way to stop it is to make sure you've had enough carbs ahead of time or be sipping a fast-absorbing carb during your workout--grape juice works for me. A protein shake will not do it because it takes too much energy to break it down--needs to be carbs.

body2see, that is for sure what you are experiencing--you describe the exact symptoms of going hypo.

Yes, that seems to be what I might be experiencing, going hypo. I would always feel on the verge of hurling or would actually hurl until I started taking baking soda. My body seems like it is starting to shake by going into hypo. I'll try some carbs next time.
