Has anyone used this product for obsessive sweating? I heard it works, but it's expensive and seems to have a lot of negative side-effects (but doesn't everything!)... any feedback

How exactly does it work, if u do not sweat ur body over heats, i couldnt imagine something made to stop sweating?

The only thing I have heard of is shots, forgot the name of the stuff used. But doctors will only give you the shots in your armpits. The substance used in the shot does something to your sweat glands. But to stop the sweating all over your body is pretty damn hard. Its like growing hair, you either stop it or you don't.

There is a surgical procedure that can be done right under each arm that inhibits sweating and facial flushing.......

My guy friend had it done because he does alot of speaking in front of crowds and it worked.

Black-mamba,

Here is a link with info on that surgical procedure you mentioned.

As for the ditropan being used for sweating. I wouldn't recommend it. Ditropan, Robinul, Probanthine; All these oral medications are from the same family of drugs. They have an anti cholinergic effect which in essence blocks the neuro transmission responsible for the production of sweat. All of these medications are not specifically for hyperhidrosis but have been known to have the side effect of dryness. Among other side effects they can cause blurry vision, dry mouth, etc. The success rate is known to be very limited.

I'm guessing possible side efx could also effect kidneys and/or liver if water in the body is kept a low levels to prevent sweating. Just my guess and opinion though.
