When do the serious BBer freaks train?

Just interested to know when the serious BBer freaks usually train?
With my job and that, I workout at all sorts of different times. I can't get into a rountine of training at a specific time everyday. I always go the days I am supposed to but just at whatever time fits(i.e 6am one day, 3pm the next). It's a bitch when I can only train during "peak-time", too many f'king people, too many stares! I am not freaky huge or nothing but lets just say I stand out of a crowd. You get used to it, it's mostly not a problem but at times it can be frustrating when lots of people are watching you workout. I am sure other board members can relate and know what I am saying here. The days you just can't tolerate Bitchy Boring Yuppy People!
There are only a handful of "freaks"(competitive BBer's, Powerlifters, One Weightlifter) that workout at my gym. It is nice to train at a time with someone who stands out as much, or more often the case, more than myself. It would be good to build a relationship with someone knowledgable at the gym.

At my gym, though I'm certainly not the biggest guy around, I am regarded as one of the really serious BBers there because I'm always doing the hardcore stuff which makes me stand out a lot (there aren't very many people at my gym though). I always work out directly after my job, probably around 6-6:30 p.m. 2-3 times a week. I've been training for over eight years so I'd like to think I'm pretty knowledgeable (unless you're only talking about doing gear cycles). I'm in Utah though so that probably doesn't help you much. Maybe there is someone else on the board that lives closer to you.

If possible it helps to train at the same time every day. I have a very strict eating regimen that I follow the 2 hours prior to training and it is hard for me to get my body to do it at a different time of day.

Given a choice, the morning is the best time to train IMO because that is when natural test levels are the highest. Of course if you don't have any natural test then it does not matter.

Good question. I have been trying mornings 6:30 - 8:30 am, yet I am not a natural "morning person".
I like it for 3 reasons. #1.) pre-workouts really seem to hit my system better after the nights "fast" #2.) After that, I have all day to eat, drink shakes ect. #3.) After work, my day is virtually over to do what ever I have energy and interest for.

Although I know the a person's core body temp. isn't optimal at that time, I just drink 2-3 cups of coffee, warm up well, and get ti done !

I lift about 7:00 to 9:00am. then head to work. Test levels are highest in the mornings so I allways get a good workout. 2 OR 3 Red Bulls dont hurt either...lol

Im not huge but people stare at me also sometimes, some dumbasses stare at me when i do inner grip benchpress or deadlifts, like if those exercises are stupid and worthless! i laugh at them!

Thanks for your responses. Interesting to see most go early a.m. Good info to know. I am usually kinda sluggish in the mornings, that is, if I am working day hours. In the mornings I can't lift shit! haha!
When working shifts, mornings can be night for me, so going to the gym at 6am is like a normal person going to the gym at 6pm after work.....body clock gets messed up big time. Gotta look at a new career, I think.
When I go to the gym I lift heavy and stick to the main "core" lifts. I like to be able to go absolutely full throttle. Nothing sucks more than trying to do this when the weightroom is full of middle aged men benching like, 88lbs and then talking away, really loudly, on their damn cellphone!
I for one, hate it when people over do the whole "grunting" thing especially when the person is lifting absolutely nothing or not really putting that much effort into it(just making a scene!). I definitely don't intend to make a scene but it's pretty damn hard not to grunt a little when your doing 500lb deadlifts for as many reps as possible, isn't it?. "Don't look at me funny you old fart! Stick to your damn workout buddy or fuckoff! oh, and take your cellphone with ya, dickhead!"(That isn't what I said but I sure as hell felt like it! haha)
My workout on Sunday was excellent cause there were a couple of big MOFO's lifting heavy, so I didn't feel like such a......well....freak. Therefore I could easily release the caveman within, which helps greatly! LOL... The more freaks the merrier!:D
Thats the end of me ranting on. Thanks again fellas!
